I bought this Road Glide new in 2008 and had the dealership add many "extras". The bike is older schoolHarley with vibration at Idle which is classic HD. Road trips are fantastic with cruise control, great sound and plenty of storage. The Fairing is fixed (shark nose) and allows good air flow and protection. Floor boards allow ample movement and the seat is comfortable. The King tour Pack my spouse really like it a lot when she rode. The tour pack gives security for the rear passenger with a large back area for support. The reach seat has great padding for the passenger and is good for firm support at stop sign and red lights. Overall this has been a great bike but just don't ride it enough to honor it.

Bike is fun, fast, and all around super bike at an affordale price. Great for beginner or as a seasoned rider. Bike is nimble. There is a feeling about bikes that many people share. If a bike is exciting enough for an experienced, talented rider, it will be too intimidating or difficult to ride for a beginner/novice. On the other hand, if a bike is user-friendly enough for a beginner/novice, it will be boring for the experienced or talented rider. Overall, SV handling is very sweet indeed – far better than most expect, in fact, from a budget, middleweight machine. Steering is neutral and precise which, combined with the SV’s slimness and light weight makes it extremely nimble and entertaining. On the downside, the forks are a little underdamped and undersprung and the single rear shock is likely to be worn out and have lost damping by now. If you simply want a cheap commuter that may not matter much. On the other hand, the SV’s success in Minitwins racing means plenty of knowhow and upgrades are available

If riding a midget motorcycle with a turbo commercial jet powerful turbine engine on it is cool, then consider me Miles Davis! Just wait till you smile without even thinking about it. My first impression was, “What on earth how is this thing even legal” and that was it… I had realized that the moment of truth came, and it felt better than rubbing your sack on a pile of wet baby seals. Speaking of which, if you have to run away from the cops on this thing- look no further! I’d have to give a cop a round of applause for pulling me over on this thing, fortunately it doesn’t pose much of a threat! I suggest getting a license since you never know, but even the heavy riding guys.. this is still a blast! I’d exclude those guys that are in bed with Harley’s, but more power to them. This bikes about making a statement, and the statement is about having fun.

The bike is a 1000cc bike so it is very fun to use. the power is thrilling, the looks of the bike are awesome. the sound the bike makes is also very nice. its a sport bike so obviously its going to get a little uncomfortable if you ride for long periods of time but riding down to Miami a few times from west palm and its decent. No complaints. if you ever need to get out of a close call situation, the bike has enough torque and agility to get you out of it pretty quickly. i had a Ninja 650 before and this is just a completely different beast. you'll definitely have fun with it.

This is the 2nd GL1800 I've owned and sadly my last due only to age (for me, not the bike). Easily the best all-around bike I've ever owned, and definitely the king of long-haul comfort. Likes include a level of equipment and capabilities that still lead the pack compared to many later model touring bikes. Comfortable as an armchair and with addition of air wings, equally as quiet and comfortable for the passenger. With heated seats and grips, plus an adjustable hot air redirect to the feet, this is as comfortable as Winter riding gets. Dislikes are few: obviously, the wired intercom and sound system is dated nowadays and spare parts and cables are getting tougher to find. While the bike is very agile, even at low speeds, it still weighs close to 1,000 pounds fully loaded, and you'll feel every bit of that if it tilts over too far at slow speeds. I'm not going to deduct stars for this - heck, it's a 1.8L bike! If I was 10 years younger, and urban riding hadn't become so crazy where I live, I'd never sell - this is the only bike I've ever owned where I have never, not once, felt envy at the sight of another bike, other than the latest model Gold Wing.

Out of 19 motorcycles I've owned, the 2005 VTR1000 (also known as the Honda Superhawk 996) is the lightest, thinest, most powerful, best-handling, canyon carver I've ever ridden. I'm 6' 0", 185 lbs. For me, the forward-leaning riding position, with a Corbin seat is extremely comfortable. The stock front forks and a Olin rear shock work perfectly with all road conditions. It soaks up bumps like they are not there. The engine is used as part of the frame which makes the whole chassis very ridged so hard cornering is effortless, and fun. I've never ridden a bike that handles better than this Superhawk 996. The engine has so much torque that you can stay in fourth gear from 40 to 120 mph in the canyons with it red lining about 9,500 RPM. You can easily change the exhaust from low and slightly tilted up to high and exiting next to the license plate like the VTR race bikes. The unique radiator setup, one on each side of the bike, keep the engine temperature between 175 and 220 degrees, and keep the bike very thin and easily maneuverable. The gas tank is thin and small and only holds about 5 gallons so the refill interval is about 100 miles, not good for touring but just fine for short trips blasting through your favorite canyon.
