Dual Sport reviews

This is my third FJR1300. I absolutely love it. The only reason I'm selling it is because I bought a newer one to replace it. It has Avon Storm tires, frame sliders, Cee Bailey windshield, OEM side bag liners, owners manual and shop service manual. Also fender extender, and maintenance records. Show less

Great bike that can start you off and carry you for a few years with some room to grow. Makes smooth, even power, and gets good fuel economy (about 44 mpg on my commute). Not so good for much taller riders (I’m 76” and it would be a little uncomfortable after an hour on the saddle). Easy to service, very reliable, modern fuel injected bike. Forgiving but confident handling and good ride quality. Bike is nice and stable and instills confidence in the rider. Inputs are all well calibrated and the bike feels natural to interact with. Very fast bike, and for a sports bike , it has a comfortable ride . Live the option of having the back seat or the rear seat cowl as well. It’s also a good and comfortable ride for the person sitting on the back seat. Show less

Awesome power band, nice sound on Acceleration , Quiet cruising , 42 miles per gallon, all you will ever need unless your totally crazy !!!!!!!! they said they needed more , so how about the hundreds of HARLEYS you pass running the mountain twisties !! Show less

This motorcycle I traded my Kaw Concours for, Lighter, and more responsive, awesome power band, 44 miles a gallon and you use 87 .....comfort and cruising at any speed, live in North Georgia, best riding around anywhere . Dragon , Back of the Dragon, Tail, Blue Ridge , so many roads !! most fun you can have legally !! Show less

This bike is a blast to ride, handles and perfoms like a race bike, but has an upright seating position for all day riding. The quickshifer works perfectly, the exhaust tone is awesome. A real head turning motorcycle, expects alot of compliments and thumbs up! Show less

I have owned BMW RT's for over 20 years. I am on my third one a 2020. These bikes are exceptional tourers, providing protection from the elements as well as in minor "downs". The electric adjustable windscreen (on the fly) along with heated grips and heated seat, can extend riding seasons to year round. The boxer twin cylinder engine (horizontally opposed) provides tremendous torque in addition to the 110 (plus) HP. So this machine provides miles and hours of grins while chewing up twisties giving conventional sport bikes a run for the money. I consistently put about 100,000 miles on each one every ten years combining 7,000 mile annual trips with 3,000 annual miles of local twisty riding and have never been let down. Service intervals have been improved by BMW over the generations and the common 6,000 mile service can easily be done by the owner (with some minor wrenching experience). Whether riding two up or solo this bike provides year round comfort, and the panniers and storage components provide excellent ease of traveling and waterproof secure containment. Selectable (on the fly) riding modes can adjust ride-ability from comfort on highways to normal for street riding to sport for the twisties. I can't say enough good stuff about these bikes. Wonderfull bike, drives like a train, powerfull, comfortable and sporty at the same time. Eats miles. Electric screen very easy to adjust on the way, lower on the highway, higher in the city. I drive with a modular helmet and i can have it open for speeds up to 70m/hr. In terms of reliability, no major problems. Show less
