I've ridden everything from sports bikes to cruisers and this is by far the best motorcycle I've had. This R Nine T has the perfect amount of power, comfortable seating position and loads of options. I really enjoyed the heated grips in the winter. I was surprised that I could warm up from just heated grips. This bike also comes with cruise control which is great for longer rides. Even though it came with multiple ride modes I kept it in dynamic as it delivers the most power and throttle response. I would use this bike for my daily commute but now I work from home. I'm selling this bike because I simply don't have the time to ride it anymore. This R nine T is in perfect condition inside and out, there isn't a single scratch. This bike is easy to ride. I would recommend this bike to both first-time and experienced riders. Show less

I personally LOVED owning and riding my 2016 R1200GS. I never initially considered buying this bike and was going to buy something else. I thought that I wanted something more pretty, less unique or more powerful...but then I took it for a test ride and understood the hype about BMW GS bikes. The BMW build quality is just awesome. They do it the best direct from the factory with high quality components throughout: Adjustable Sachs suspension, Brembo brakes, braided stainless coated hydraulics, LED lighting, Bosch electronics and tech that surpasses all others. The handling is second to none with a circle turn radius of less than 8 feet . The braking is amaizing, where there is NO dive due to BMW lever suspension system. The bike squats upon hard braking instead of diving from traditional telescopic fork tube suspension. The low center of gravity and torque from the boxer motor is more than adequate and reliability is off the charts. There are more BMW boxers are on the road eating up greater miles compared to others. The torque and HP are enough that I never had to disable the default traction control to get more out of the 1200 engine. It truely is enough and I'm not a small guy. The only downside if it's even considered negative is the tall riding stance and wind protection, but these minor shortcomings that can be solved with greater wind protection mods and lower seat/suspension mods. Touring with the GS is just amaizing too. I could safely stand, stretch and change into so many different comfy riding positions that I would run out of fuel before growing fatigued or uncomfortable. I would honestly implore. Yes, IMPLORE you to try out a GS. If haven't rode a BMW GS, don't wait it will most likely be the one you buy. Also, the different and unique look of the GS is something that will grow in your heart throughout ownership. IMHO it's one of the best looking motorcycles made. After owning my GS for 8 years, I now understand why they will forever be cemented as icons amongst motorcycle enthusiasts. Show less

Have really enjoyed this bike! Only regret is not having the time to ride it more! Have owned several bikes, Harleys, Sport Bikes and others and get more compliments on this bike than any other. Just a cool looking blend of retro and modern that just works. A blast to ride. Abundant torque, great in the turns and comfortable for me for 2-3 hour stints for sure. Heated grips are great to have and accessory power hook up for heated jacket pants or use as battery tender installed. I am selling it for two reasons. #1. Kids are all out of the house and wife and I downsized. No more three car garage:( #2. Purchased 2023 GS 1250 R to take longer trips now that kids are off the payroll:) Show less

Very nice low end torque, perfect on a windy road, weekend ride, but not so much for daily commute, although you will turn lots of heads. It’s a beautiful bike to be sure and mechanically solid. You need to monitor the oil closely as R9Ts are notorious for burning through oil, but on and all a great bike if you prize character and reliability over sheer performance. The only drawback is the aggressive riding position, which is perfect for leisurely carving curves, but painful when you’re stuck on freeway traffic. Highly recommend it if you are looking for something fun with lots of personality. Show less

Bought a 2023 BMW R Nine T pure brand new. On the way home there was a rattle in the tank and the engine. According to the dealer they first said to just break it in. But then when it did not go away and took it back they could not hear it. Then said that the new Euro 5 emissions cause it. What does emissions have to do with a rattle in the tank or engine? However BMW does not stand behind their product neither does the dealer. So, if you are looking for a dealer that backs their product look elsewhere. If you are looking for a manufacturer that stands behind their product look to another brand. Many times I have tried to get into a different bike with as you guessed no help from BMW or the dealer. The only reason for one star is because there is no choice for zero stars. What's more after leaving this heart felt and factual account there still will not be anyone whom cares enough to make it right. Because if they do I will change my rating if I do not then you will know what I say was truthful... Show less

BMW motorcycles are generally quality reliable machines but the BMW dealerships I have tried to deal with all suck badly. Less than 1 year ago I purchased a 2022 BMW K1600gtl. I have enjoyed it and have put 18,000 hwy. miles on it. Still in near perfect condition. I have learned that it is a bit heavy for me at nearly 800 lbs. so I have requested a trade in for a r1250rt model. 300lbs. lighter. My k1600 is less than 1 year old and for tradein BMW has offered me $12,000 trade value at BMW of SAn Juan texas. And Alamo BMW of San Antonio offered me $15,000. Original cost was $33,000. Basically what they are saying is that their motorcycles are not even worth 50% of the original price less than 1 year old. Less than 50% in less than 1 year. DO NOT BUY A BMW ACCORDING TO BMW THEY ARE WORTH LESS THAN 50% ORIGINAL VALUE LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD. BAD BAD DEAL. PIECE OF JUNK. NOT EVEN WORTH HALF THEIR COST AFTER JUST 9 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. The best all-around bike I've owned. I've had a HD Road King, Indian Vintage and Scout to name a few, and this is the easiest to live daily. Parts are not cheap and patience is required to DYI repairs and maintenance. Show less

I purchased this motorcycle off ebay during the middle of the pandemic - kind of a "drunk purchase" that I then had to go pick-up in Florida. Well, it was a really good price! After having the bike for about 2 years now, along with 2 other bikes, I must say this is by far my favorite. This is a sleek, beautiful, take-your-breath-away, kind of bike that must be ridden to be fully understood. A Cafe-Racer remade in today's technology with yesterday's style. How did someone say it to me - "That has to be the sexiest motorcycle I have ever seen!" Its appearance belies the engine size since it is slender, but long. A refined, smooth, time-tested, 1160cc boxter engine that puts out 110 horses if needed. The long frame and moldings allow this bike to cut through the air without concern for cross-winds or truck drafts. Steady and sure, I can always count on this bike holding course regardless of wind, road or speed. Yes, it has a rather aggressive riding position that limits the weak and wimpy to only minutes before either hand or arm start to fail. However, I found that some push-ups and grip exercises can get you quickly adjusted for more ride time. Having said that, I would not recommend this bike for "getting around town", but rather for "getting out of town". This is the ride you take to Miami, Los Angeles, or Chicago for the weekend...to be seen and envied. I have to admit it...I think my "drunk purchase" has been the "best purchase of my life". Show less
