I have had so many people pull up next to me and tell me how much they like the bike. I am not a fan of Harleys, but will still take a complement from a Harley rider. On my previous bikes, they would not give me the time of day, but now, give me props for the bike. Since I bought mine, my neighbor purchased one and my good friend is in talks with the dealer for his. Warriors must be doing something right. I love mine and would buy it again in a heart beat.

This bike is a sleeper and the new midnight warrior is fantastic to look at. Bought mine from Sportland in Bloomington IL. Awesome folks to deal with and outstanding service. The Warrior is a 1670cc Beast - you will love it the first time you roll the throttle and the first time a crowd gathers to see the bike up close. Even the HD guys want to look at it! Too bad most just see the rear of the bike. Also want to comment on the great service from Yamaha - I had a mishap with my bike and Yamaha took care of everything for me. No problems and without cost to me. Also thanks to the service team at Sportland. They are great. Thanks a lot!

600 miles later, I can give you some honest feedback so far. The bike rocks! I have no other way of putting it. Hard to believe that torque monster of an engine had anything to show me over 3000rpm, but was I wrong. The darn thing practically threw me off the back when it hit 5000 rpm. However, there are some weird glitches that need to be discussed. This thing needs to be warmed up before taking off because it will stall the first time you shift down to slow at a street light. You need to do a quick snap on the throttle to jump the rpm for an instant. Another point is the riding position. On the highway at 80 mph, you are a parachute. Make sure to get some kind of windshield (I got the Ymaha mini-fairing & the lower cowl to match, fairing-great, cowl-useless). Overall a great bike.

Great handling, excellent power and very good fuel economy.

I just got the bike 2 weeks ago and have not ridden it as much as I like but so far I have no complaints. I'm still breaking it in so I'm not riding hard at all but all the power you will ever need is there. I sat on the VTX 1800 and it felt heavy and bulky, this thing feels very nice and handles just as well. The riding posture (comfort) is not as good as the Goldwing I used to ride but much better than the 600R Ninja I use to own. Upgrade the pipe and you will like the sound. Honestly I have never heard the stock pipe, I rolled mine out of the dealership with aftermarket pipes already on it.

I haven't been on a cruiser in 10 years and finally decided I'm going to get one this year. My 2005 Midnight Warrior is absolutely gorgeous to look at and just torquey as can be. I can't wait to get past the break in period to see what it can really do. While I was making the deal at the dealership, there were dozens of people just looking at it and complimenting me on how cool it looked. I'm 40 years old and not really into the "bling, bling" thing, but it really caught me off guard how many teenagers just drooling over it. The sound of this bike is sedate, to say the least. It doesn't rattle your bones like so many Screamin' Eagle Harleys, but it is a deep growl that is menacing. I know that I can get more power out of the Speedstar kit, but I just love that boom-can exhaust. I will update as soon as the break in is over for a more accurate rating.

After owning any bike for a while, the new wears off and you might start looking around for something else, maybe just to see what's out there. Many people do. But after owning a Warrior for a while, if & when you do start looking, you very soon come to the realization "It's very difficult to find anything else that compares". A classic motorcycle with high-tech features makes it a drivable performer. Big on bang for the buck right out the box. My only complaint is rear tires. Five in 15k miles. I've learned to mount them myself.
