No problems yet; just returned for break-in service (FYI: which is going to take about a week!). Gave a "4" on the comfort as the passenger seat is a little small for my wife's bottom :) but (no pun intended) she won't be riding that much anyway. Picture does not show the dual mirrors that are included.

Will hit 60 with no trouble but I feel bad for it after a while, sounds over taxed. Put 130 miles on it 1 day & stopped at the gas station, only took 1.25 gallons. Love this little guy but dying for something bigger so I can go even farther. Would deffiniately recommend as a starter for a first timer. Looks great too, like a big bike with its V-twin.

Bought this bike new yesterday and already ridden 100 miles, excellent bike looks like a big bike but handles very easily. Only had a couple problems but nothing major and the dealer should be able to take care of them, the idle is a little to low and loads up plus it's running a little rich. The back running lights are not on when switch on. But other than those couple of things this bike is a dream on back roads running 50-60mph. I've never ridden a bike before but this bike gives you a ton of confidence. But it may not be wise to run along on a large freeway only good for in town and back roads that's the reason for the 4 star performance. Great Bike.

After being away from motorcycles for over 20 years, the high price of gas had me reconsidering. When I was able to pick up this Virago 535 at a very attractive price, I went for it. Air cooled, shaft drive, practically worry free and no wrenching involved. Just do the routine oil and lube maintenance and this bike will last for years and take you far. Although it's not a speedster, the Virago will accelerate briskly in city traffic and cruises comfortably on the road at 65-70 mph with a single rider. It's a little cramped for someone my size, but not bad. I enjoy it.

My wife rides a rebel 250 and there is really no comparison. The virago compares more to the 750 size bikes except for the gas milage which is constantly over 80 m.p.g I have been saving close to $1000.00 per year in gas expense, it will soon pay for itself.

Anything else, may be asking a bit much.

I haven't rode a motorcycle since I was a teenager and I decided to get back on two wheels. I purchased my kick butt little cruiser in March 2005 with no regrets. I passed my road test on the first attempt, and have been riding every day since (with the exception of rainy days). It can get up and go. I have taken it above 85mph and wasn't to full throttle but decided the ticket wasn't worth it so I throttled down. I get 60mpg and tons of compliments on the looks and sound. The weight was my concern because in the upper mid-west, the wind kicks up a little so I have been tossed around pretty good. I gave the Virago to my wife who desperately wants to learn to ride... it is the perfect cycle for that. I just purchased a 1986 Honda Shadow VT700C and love it. The Virago is a great bike for the price. If you're just looking to cruise in town without any long trips, this bike is for you. Happy riding!

I've been riding since 1977 and this is my 3rd bike and by far the best. It has more than enough power and to me it is a great looking bike. It doesn't weigh a ton like some of these newer cruisers and in some people's opinion it's not very pretty like but like the song says (she might be ugly but she sure can cook). I bought it used with only 942 miles on it and haven't had any problems. From all the articles I've read the bike is pretty much bullet proof. I get snubbed by the (want a be) biker Harley crowd but that's okay because from what I have observed, most of their riding is done on the couch or bar stool. I paid $4000 for my bike and only someone not in there clear mind would pay the highway robbery prices they pay for their scooters.
