I have had this bike for 3 years. At first I had problems with the start up on cold days. We cleaned the carb up and now it starts great. I have a great time on trails with this bike - it really tears them up. I take this bike to my friends track at their house just to screw around and it performs better than what I would expect for its weight. It really can get some air on the step up and table tops. It has plenty of speed. With a gps hooked up to the handle bars I got 72 miles per hour on road. I really recommend this bike to any body that is looking for a great bike, and wants to ride it hard.

This bike is the best 125 four stroke of its time. It pulls out of the hole nice. It also handles the turns great. This will smoke Honda's, Suzuki's, and KTM's. The only other four stroke 125 that can run with it is a Kawasaki. So if you're going to buy a 125 four stroke, get this... read more

The 230 has plenty of power, is great for trail riding, and even took me through a motocross academy with ease. I have put it through whoops, jumps, corners, sand and mud. I broke up with my boyfriend 4 months ago and he took the bike away, so I've been out test riding every manufaturer's bike. The TTR 230 is, by far, my very favorite. I am buying a new one tomorrow! The electric start is fantastic, the bike is easy to pick-up off the ground (I should know, I've picked it up entirely too many times..hahaha.) Be sure to get a set of handlebar brush guards - they are very helpful. Two thumbs and 10 toes up!

If you are looking to either get a fast or fun bike for trail or even track riding then this is the bike that will do the job. Pretty much all I've got to say is it is an awesome bike and I love it.

Wow I must say Yamaha has done it again! This bike rips. I can hang right with a Honda CRF150R racer. I can hit like 60-65 on it. I must say the suspension is sick and the electric start is a helper when it's flooded out or it's cold as it is a lot in Maryland. I can hit many jumps and often ride at my friend's track which is sick and I hit 20 foot tabletops no problem and easily jump throughout the track with the great susp. SO GET YOURS AND FEEL THE POWER!!!

My parents got this bike for me right after we moved to Maine abut four years ago. It was my first bike and is great for beginners. Suprisingly it has a lot of power for such a small bike. The bike doesn't go much faster than 40 mph. It handles excellent. Has great traction in most terrain. It has some trouble going through sand any deeper than an inch. I live next to some powerlines and have tried to ride it over there, it doesn't work so well. It is such a fun bike to learn on and to ride when you get older. All of the people at the local dealer have them just to have some fun on. All around a great bike. I love it.
