This is my first "cruiser" style bike. I owned a sports bike eight years ago and was ready for a new one. I considered both styles of bikes for over a month. After sitting on a cruiser I decided this would be my choice. Then it came time to determine which make to go with. I knew I wanted American made but Harley's were beyond my budget (for a new one). My wife was OK with me getting a bike as long as it "worked" and lasted. My friend, a Harley rider, recommended Victory and had nothing but great things to say. I began reading and learning more about Victory and was convinced. The Vegas 8 Ball was a bit above my budget but it had exactly what I was looking for: style and power. I love my 8 Ball!

I was in the market for a cruiser with power, uniqueness, was comfortable and basically a ride that would attract attention and I found it with the 2011 Victory Vegas Jackpot. When I bought the bike at the Tucson dealership I left with some modifications. There are no bikes in Yuma that looks like mine and I sense jealousness from the Harley folks! But most folks don't even know who Victory is and assume my bike is a Harley of some sort. I removed the obvious emblem on gas tank and rear fender so it looks like a custom built bike.

I had the dealer install the x bow stage 1 exhaust which included a hi-flow air box. I love the sound and this bike will light up the rear wheel with ease. I can't wait til spring so I can show all my Harley buddies the rear fender - haha. Happy trails to all motorcyclists out there, be safe!

I just bought it a few days ago and I love this bike. I had been looking at them for a couple of years and just had this deal fall into my lap. I got the bike with no cash down in Melbourne Florida at the place was great to deal with. I traded in a Kawasaki Voyager 12 and in a round about way my Sportster 883. I have to say that this bike is so far ahead of both the Kawasaki and the Harley that there is no true comparison. On the highway it takes the grooves and bumps far better than the Voyager 12 or the Harley. The bike is smooth to run. In town it is simple to maneuver and I have no complaints. I was very surprised on its tracking and handling. With the Harley the rear end was light and always wanting to get out from under me. The brakes on this are the best as well. As for performance... WOWWWWWWWWWWW!!! This thing can move and I mean right now! Yet control is always right there. Positive tracking again is the best I have ever seen. You will not be disappointed in this bike. It is top notch all the way. I also find that is is getting around 55-58 mpg. which is another plus over the Kawasaki or the Harley which were both in the 30's at best. What more can you ask for?

I took a test ride on a Hammer, ended up buying the Vegas for that big 21" up front. It's a great looking bike, handles better than my Ninja. Being a part of an MC means I have to have a bike that will stand up to scrutiny and will take the miles. I got what I need.

I know...I don't have that many miles on my Vegas yet. I've not owned a crotch rocket but have had very fast bikes all my life, from a Yamaha XS100, to V-Max's, and the bike I just sold was the Concourse 1400. The Concourse was a superb bike and a rocket ship, equivalent to the Cadillac CTS/V, but it was all covered up with plastic fairings, etc. I needed three different Allen wrenches to change the air filter! Part of the fun of owning a bike is seeing the engine. The Victory fit and finish is great. It has the typical big V-Twin power characteristic. You have to grab a handful of throttle to rev the engine, but it has a LOT of usable power. If you can live with that type of power (I'm starting to like it) the bike will reward you with a lot of fun rides. It will give you 120 mph. if you ask for it but I have no desire to go that fast on two wheels anymore. With great handling it loves to carve in the corners. However, long before you feel like you're at the limits, the foot rests start to drag throwing a little dampener on the fun. I know those tips that stick out are there to warn you but I'm thinking of removing them. The manufacturer needs to bump the rev limiter to at least 6000, maybe 6500. The cams and multi-valve heads work good on this engine. It is pulling hard when you run out of revs a little past five grand. It is easy to work on, looks great as a low slung-cruiser, starts easy, warms up quickly and has given me over 50 mpg. on several tanks. My wife feels better throwing a leg over this bike compared to the 29" high Kawasaki. I think I'm going to like this bike more, the more I ride it. The engine needs to be "unstuffed" with pipes and air intake to realize the potential this power plant can produce. that's in the future.
