Victory Kingpin 8-Ball reviews

I upgraded from a Honda 750 RS. I am a big man and needed a big bike. This bike fits me well and carries a passenger and me effortlessly. The saddle is very comfortable. Passengers always complement their seating as well and often use the word smooth describing the ride. It is also nice every time I ride to receive complements my bike. For a big bike it is easy to turn and handles well on the curvy mountain roads in my area. I have never dragged a floor board. The low speed maneuvering is the only thing I have had trouble with, but after several practice sessions over the last month. I can carve 20 foot figure eights using counter weighting. When I started shopping for a new bike I intended to get a Harley. However I did not think the salesman was nice to me. Then my GF sent me a photo of the Hard-Ball. I went to the Victory dealership and was treated well and bought the Hard-Ball and could not be happier. Show less

It's a great bike, I love it. It has lots of power. I had a lot of people ask about it, it is a real looker. It has smooth acceleration. I'm really enjoying this bike. The exhaust sounds much better after 5000 km. Show less

This is the sixth motorcycle I have owned in my life and so far this EXCEEDS my expectations. It has unbelievable looks, power and handling. The 106 ci will embarrass most bikes on the street today. This thing is worth the money. Show less

I have been riding street bikes for about six years now and this bike is just like the title says. I didn't just buy a Victory, I bought a piece of heavenly comfort and performance. My 8-Ball is very subtle yet impressive. Even after putting the first thousand miles on my bike, I still get that "first time" feeling every time I hop on it. Show less

I am an old man and out of all the motorcycles I have owned, I have never gotten as many favorable comments from strangers as my High-Ball gets. People just seem to like the old school look. That is what this bike is all about. Also, the High-Ball is a real comfortable ride!! That comes from a guy with short legs. The 106 engine is a screamer. Super Tork monster, as you might guess, is a tad on the thirsty side. I went with the stage one kit, black Cobra swept pipes. It has great sound, much more pleasant than the Vance & Hines I had on a Harley. The foot pegs on this bike are low, so racing through the twistys isn't going to be its strong suit. In 3,500 miles I have only scrapped them once, so normal riding is no problem! So when it's crusing weather, my touring bikes stay in the garage, I go high-balling. Show less

If you are thinking about it...test ride it, then buy it! I love this bike! It looks awesome, has tons of power, and is amazingly comfortable to ride. Of course, it is built on Victory's bullet proof Engine/Tranny combo. Just do it! Show less

I love my 8-Ball! This is my first bike and I could not be happier. I looked at Harleys and could not justify paying $17,000+ for a new bike. I could not be happier with Victory, the bike rides and handles great. Show less

I picked this bike up from my local dealer on April 20, 2012. I rode it home with a big smile on my face even though it was raining. The motor has power and character in spades, the 6 speed gearbox is a peach, the handling although firm is well controlled and precise. I've had a Suzuki M800 which was good for the money and a Yamaha XV1900 and many other bikes of different styles, but this bike is in a different league. Because of my height I need to change the footpeg supports because for some reason the 8Ball has them 2" back from the Hammer S position. I am also putting dragbars on because it is no fun hanging on at highway speeds with arms bent at around 90 degrees. I will also change the exhausts for chrome ones because I prefer the look. These points are personal to me, but I cannot fault the bike otherwise and I would certainly look again at the Victory brand when it comes to time to change. Show less

I bought this bike used (2009) with 1,500 miles on it. The bike runs smooth with plenty of power. I have had many compliments on the bike. I have enjoyed the bike and it has a lot less vibration than the Harley I owned before. Happy Flight!! Show less

I have been riding for over 15 years and by far this is the best bike I have ridden. I have owned three Honda crotch rockets and ridden Harleys and other cruisers, but none compare to this bike. I have over 2,000 miles on my 2012 Highball and I had the bike less than three weeks. Show less
