I've ridden my Vespa ET4 150 about 850 miles. Mostly on the 7.5 miles to work. Also for errands around town. It is completely reliable. It is the quickest vehicle I've ever owned (of any kind) from 0 to 45 MPH. It is beautifully designed and solidly built. I get about 65 MPG, and have topped...

I get about 65 MPG, and have topped 60 MPH with no problems. There are only two negatives: It is too light for the strong winds I encounter on the main road from our house. Very strong gusts push the bike around a bit. Also, the small wheels (10 in), with their higher rate of spin, are unstable on loose road material. Although I travel exclusively on paved roads, there is the occasional gravel driveway, where even turning around at low speeds can be tricky.

We looked at many different scoots and were a little put off initially by the higher price that Vespa charges. In the end you get what you pay for. 1) Smooth, quiet and reliable. It just works perfectly. Milage of 63 MPG or 3.6 l per 100 km being driven aggresively. (Too much fun not to go...

We looked at many different scoots and were a little put off initially by the higher price that Vespa charges. In the end you get what you pay for. 1) Smooth, quiet and reliable. It just works perfectly. Milage of 63 MPG or 3.6 l per 100 km being driven aggresively. (Too much fun not to go fast!!) 2) Outstanding power for only 150cc 4 stroke. Over 100 km'hr with a CVT. 3) Convenience and ergonomics. Huge lockable glove box. Topcase swallows my large Snell rated full face helmet. Underseat storage is very large. My wife puts her tall stainless coffee mug in the glove box when she commutes to work. The switches, mirrors, everything is just well thought out and of solid construction. The other scooters just felt cheaply finished when put up against the new Vespa's. There is even an adjustable preload on the factory shock with four settings depending on rider weight or 2 up. 4) Appearance/curb appeal. Hey...it's a Vespa. They are a gorgeous original. Nobody else makes a better looking scooter. 5) Not having to answer NO each time someone says "hey is that a Vespa" when you ride a scooter. Afer we dropped the money in the winter on this bike we wondered if we made a mistake or should have gone cheaper? Once we had a few days on the bike any sense of buyers remorse had vanished. The bike is so nice to ride, so simple to maneuver and park, and just draws compliments from all kinds of folks. I cannot recommend this bike highly enough for city use, but if you honestly need more time on the highway than in town it is the wrong bike. Get a GT/GTS/X9/BV 250/500 or look at the other maxi's or a m/c. As an in town commuter it has no rivals.

Have had it a little over a week and I have had seven other scooters and one motorcycle in the last 3 years. For a Scooter around town this is the one has plenty of power, great handling, and is very good comfort. I'm 6'4" and I have lots of room and get no cramps in my legs even when it's cold. I have averaged about 60 to 66 mpg so far and it will do 60+mpg with my weight. The quality is first rate. The only thing I have had to do so far is set the idle down twice as the motor is breaking in, also had to put a little Fix a Flat in the rear tire to seal the rim tight. It costs a little more that other 150cc scooters but after owning one for a week it is a bargain. 5+ rating.
