This is the first bike I've had since before the kids were born. Now that the last one is off to school, I wanted to have fun again. Spent a lot of time researching and thought the C50 would be the best entry back into riding, considering cost, power, and reliability. So far it has exceeded my expectations. The learning curve was quick and easy for someone who hasn't ridden in years; the bike is very quick off the mark, smooth, easy to handle, accelerates uphill with my big rear-end, shifts smoothly, has a nice throaty rumble without making the neighbors mad, and looks good too! The only wish would be for a 5th gear that works more like an overdrive. Up to 55 mph it just hums and has to work when you get up to 70 mph with a bit of vibration, but not too uncomfortable, particularly when you consider this is a mid-size. haven't tried a second rider, so can't comment on performance there. But for leisurely single cruising, you couldn't ask for more. If you are serious for an entry level bike, look no further.

It is very well balanced, has smooth shifting, is very forgiving in the corners and the wide seat rounds off for a comfortable ride. The only thing I would have asked to be changed is the tight 5th gear. Maybe a 6th gear would have rounded everything off to a complete 5 star rating. My dealer has helped out several times with good knowledge of the bike and help when needed to get the bag rack on. Good job, guys!

Glad I did my Homework! I really like this Bike! I haven't ridden in thirty years and this is my first street bike. I bought it used with 2500 miles on it. A couple of things sold me on the bike: style, of course, fuel injection and shaft drive, best in class I think. The guy had to have a Harley and I got a great deal. The bike came with saddlebags and a new Gel seat. I didn't ride until I had completed the MSF safety course and at first I thought I'd made a mistake and gone too large. But several hours of good parking lot practice soon put that idea out of my mind. It does however, take some practice learning how to handle things. It has a great center of balance and is very comfortable to ride. The pipes sound good and frankly, I don't want it any louder. It really is a dream bike. I ride to work almost every day. I plan on keeping this for a long time to come.

I bought my 2006 C50 on 10/6/05 and can't get enough of it. The bike has plenty of highway power, and a good feel underneath me with good CG/balance.

I strongly recommend to anyone planning to ride more than 10 minutes at a pop, to upgrade the seat to the Gel! Some pieces disappoint, meaning too much plastic, but hey, that's why it is an affordable model. Exceptional bike for the money.
Envy is such a strong emotion. Safe ridin'!

After much thought and research, I chose this for my first bike in many a year. Reasons: Suzuki reliability, Shaft drive, Size, power, Looks, and Price. Now I have over 900 miles in 4 short weeks in all conditions: rain, cold, wind, busy city traffic, country winding roads. It handles very well. It has great low and high end torque. Gripes: Very few. The seat, after even 1 hour makes it uncomfortable. Not sure how well all the plastic pieces will hold up over time. Plastic saves weight and cost so pretty even overall. Would buy again.

Took the course Tues., Wed. and Thur., got my license Thur. afternoon, and picked up my 2005 Suzuki Boulevard C50 on Friday. I rode with a friend after riding it in the parking lot to get familiar with it, and it is a wonderful experience. Very comfortable... very nice ride! I may change my mind, but I feel this bike is everything I wanted in a first bike and more! I recommend this bike to anyone interested in riding.

I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a nice ride. I rode it to work and got numerous compliments. I will continue to ride to work as long as the cold winter weather is not unbearable. I have not been on a bike for 7 years and I jumped on this one and it took off. It was easy to get used to.

Also, the c50 has good power and very good throttle response. I just wish it had that 6th gear and that the turn signals would self-cancel. But over all it is a great motorcycle. It is worth a look at. I am planning long trips on it.
