Just want to mention, that bike is almost broken in. It performs perfect in all conditions. As I said earlier, no mechanical issues whatsoever. Fuel consumption is exactly 50 mpg. (4.5 L/100km). Last week I tried it on the highway maximum speed. It was running on 401 by Milton, Ontario for about 10 km. I installed a tachometer, so at 50 mph. - 1700 rpm., 65 mph. -2200, 70 mph. - 2900, 90 mph. - 4000, it went to 90% power by throttle, speed achieved on Speedo 105 mph. (165km/h) and rpm's 5200 -5500. I still checked the throttle and there was 5-10% power left. I gave it several tries each lasting about a minute run, then back to comfy 65-70 mph. There were no excessive vibrations at any speeds. It's a very, very good bike!!! By the way, I noticed that seat became better after 3000 km.

I previously had a Suzuki GSX1100G. It was unreal fast but not very comfortable. I'm getting old and have a bad back so I sat on every bike made. The M50 was by far the most comfortable bike I ever sat on. I bought it but was worried about the small 805cc engine. After riding it I have no disappointments with engine power. It is very balanced and rides good. The only thing I recommend Suzuki to change is to add dual front disc brake and rear disc brake. Braking is just adequate for a cruiser but I am use to crotch rocket performance brakes.

I bought this bike used and the previous owner had installed a power commander as well as Vance and Hines straight shots. During the summer, this is my daily driver. I am a mountain bike racer and take it to the venues so I'll frequently have 200-500 mile weekends. Laden down with my bike and all the necessary gear the bike handles amazing and aside from needing additional/alternate foot rests, the comfort, ergonomically speaking, is superb. I have never had a problem with the bike mechanically and look forward to many more trouble free miles. Performance wise, keeping in mind that I am 155 and will frequently be carrying up to 50-70 pounds worth of gear I am extremely happy with the power and efficiency. The front brake is adequate for all intents and purposes however the rear leaves me longing for a disc. ABS would also be a handy feature, however that would drive the cost up, which was a primary consideration in my purchasing decision. As far as comfort goes, I enjoy riding the bike when it is laden with gear however, when I ride solo I have to take care to not drink too much coffee or soda before I go out - the suspension w/ a 155 pound rider is a bladder buster. I would definitely appreciate a fair amount of rider adjustability beyond preload, including spring rate, compression and rebound damping. Bumps, even small ones will frequently jolt me off of my seat. Because of cost/availability of an air spring for the bike, I'll be evaluating different saddle options. I have not had any quality issues to date. I am very happy with the fit and finish of the bike. I appreciate that it has some chrome but not a lot and while I have a distaste for plastic, appreciate that it keeps the weight/expense down and is a contributing factor to the 50-52 mpg I currently achieve. Another missing feature is accessory power. I now use a GPS and powering it off of the bike is a challenge. It would certainly have been nice if this purchase wouldn't have to be made in the aftermarket. This would also be handy to power heated gloves/pants/jacket. Included with comfort is my comfort level with the low-beam headlights which are over-driven @ approximately 45mph. I'll likely be installing a light bar in the future for better visibility and to increase my comfort level when going out at night. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. This is my first bike and it has made me hate my car. It currently has 8000 miles and I hope to get at least 40K on it before I even consider a new ride. At roughly 7K a year I hope to have it for at least another 5-6 years before I begin to lust after a new model.

Lots of compliments and I've only had it two days. Even though I've had it a short time I like it a lot and feel the same as others, it could use a 6th gear for higher speeds and I think I will be getting the gel seat if I take longer trips. Overall though, nothing that would keep me from owning this bike. Will review again after a few more miles on it.

I can not say enough about this bike. Extremely low maintenance. Great performance, and it looks badder than most bikes on the road. You'll get compliment after compliment, these are hard to find, I've only seen one other M50 blk in our area of 300K people. My only 2 complaints are, it feels like it needs a 6th gear, & should definitely come stock with a gel seat. Otherwise, even so, she can still cruise along @ 90 mph with no problem whatsoever. I'll upgrade to the M90 or M109 after I wear her out. Suzuki sure can build a bike.
