I took my MSF course in Feb., 2013 and all they had were 250's. This bike is only slightly larger and heavier than any of the 250 cruisers. So if you like a 250 size, but need more power than this bike is great. The size of the bike makes it a great commuter. It handles traffic easily with plenty of power taking off from a stop. It's easy to maneuver and duck walk if needed. I'm heavy and this bike has no trouble moving on city streets or the highway. I've had it up to 90 mph. to pass vehicles, but I generally cruise about 65 or 70 without difficulty. The light weight of the bike does make it a little easy to get pushed around by wind. The first few times on the highway it felt to small, but as I've gotten used to its handling, I no longer notice it. I don't find the seat comfortable for long rides and need to stretch every time I fuel up. I average about 50 mpg. as a heavy guy using an aggressive throttle. With a 2.8 gallon tank I need to fuel about every 100 miles or flip to reserve. The placement of the foot-pegs doesn't bother me for normal rides, but on long distance my legs get cramped up. I highly recommend this bike as either a transition from a 250 to a 650 or as a first bike.

I almost bought a smaller bike for my first bike but am so glad I didn't. This bike handles my wife and I with ease. It's fun to ride and gets over 50 miles to the gallon. I agree with other riders of this bike - it needs a sixth gear although it cruises at 70 mph. with no problem. My wife and I have ridden about 300 miles in one day and the bike was very comfortable. Lastly, I might add, it has a very affordable price.

One of my best friends got the Blk/Gry C109RT. I talked to my salesman and he said I'll get you one ASAP. Two weeks later my Blu/Wht C109RT showed up. It has been a love affair every since. I waited a year for pipes and that made her perfect. She loves hunting HOGs and bacon is her favorite meal...LOL

I bought a used 2005 C50T with only 7K miles on it after riding a starter Honda Rebel for a couple of years after taking the MSF course. It was a great choice - lightweight and easy to ride, even at low speeds, but looks like a much bigger motorcycle. The riding position is very good - upright and feet not too far out in front. It has good acceleration and is smooth at all speeds. A downshift is necessary sometimes from 5th to 4th gear to pass, especially on hills, but that is not a problem. There is quite a bit of wind that does get under the windshield and the top of the windshield. Even at its lowest setting, it is right in my line of vision. But these complaints are minor when you consider the price. You get a great cruiser that has the looks of a Harley at about half the price. I have been getting 45 mpg. and my only beef about the 2005 model is that it does not have a fuel gauge. The seat is comfortable and I have delayed buying a Mustang seat to see how it performs on long distance rides - I need to gas up every 140 miles or so anyway, so I have no complaints on the stock seat so far. The saddlebags are roomy, but be aware they are not waterproof and if you ride in the rain, you will need to enclose the contents in plastic bags.

It was very comfortable and learning the clutch was extremely easy and I love it. I just got a flat or I would be riding more. The road work is messing me up or maybe it's just something I don't know about. I got my license August, 2012 and really turning and learning it has been awesome. It is not the most powerful bike but I put it up to 80 already. I don't recommend trying to cruise that speed though:) God bless y'all.

I traded in my '07 Suzuki C50T for this new model. I am ready for long rides, lots of miles and I was torn between the Road King and this bike. I had a whole day of free rental of Road King, took an 8-minute test ride and I was sold on the B.O.S.S. It just fit better, both leg length and pocket...

Although, I was willing to go each way, the Suzuki was my choice. It has no vibration while at idle, the down shift is very smooth and most of all I have to say comfort. The legs are perfect. I bought it 3-19-2013 and just had my 600-mile service 4-09-13.

I've been shopping for a bike for about a year. I tried all the big cruisers to find one that I fit on. I drove all over the province looking at different bikes. Like a lot of people, I was on a budget, about 10 grand. New, used everything. I was at the Toronto bike show last March, and saw a 2009 M109R Limited. I sat on it and everything was right were it should be. After looking for so long, my wife was starting to get tired of me dragging her around to all these different shops. We were in town last week. When I say town, it's a small town with about 25,000 people. We drove by a small used car dealer and saw a 2007 red M109R, pulled right in and found the guy in charge and started asking questions. It turns out a guy from town that owns a jewelry store had it sitting there because he was tired of it. He was about 55, 60. The bike has a custom swing arm to accomodate the 300 rear tire, duel intake, Cobra long shot pipes, Cobra fuel commander and 7 degree rake for a 23 inch front tire. So I asked how much and he told me 14 grand. Wahoo - a little much for a Joe Smhoo with three kids at home. My wife and I talked about it, then asked if he'd take 9 grand. Lowball I know but I had to try. He said 12, I said 10, we settled on 11 grand, with all original parts. I love it. As soon as the snow is gone, I will be out.
