This bike flat screams. It is much quicker than I thought that it would be coming from a 2006 250 SX-F. The four speed transmission is perfect for mx and if it is geared slightly higher a grand prix type of race is not out of the question. The E-start button is without a question reason enough to buy this bike. It helps in situations such as crashes and stalls which are thankfully an uncommon occurence. The last thing that you want to do is kick your bike for 5 minutes after a minor tip over. 3 seconds on the button is all it ever takes to get her re-lit. I have read all of the magazine reviews of this bike and I don't agree with any of them. If there are some minor short comings the ease of restarting this bike surely make up for all of them. I race the west coast WORCS series and this bike is perfect for that type of event.

Until the start of this year, I've been racing/trail riding a CR125R. I figured I'd upgrade and get a 250 before the industry kills the 2 stroke for good. I compared bikes from the 5 big companies and in the end chose and ordered the 250SX. Got it home and rode it, feels low and small, easy to...

I compared bikes from the 5 big companies and in the end chose and ordered the 250SX. Got it home and rode it, feels low and small, easy to maneuver, power hit is the craziest I've ever felt, and the wp monoshock has a much better feel this year. Every dealer tried to push me to 4 stroke, and I just laughed at them because while the thumpers are adjusting valves, tensioners, timing etc., I will be on the track. Long live the 2 stroke!

2003 KTM 65 SX

I own a KTM SX 65 and I must say this bike hauls. I have beat many 125B riders and a 250B rider. The only thing I don't like about this bike is when I do the 120ft tripples, if I don't land right, I crack a rim. In two race seasons, I have had a new clutch, two rims, a pair of handle bars, three...

The only thing I don't like about this bike is when I do the 120ft tripples, if I don't land right, I crack a rim. In two race seasons, I have had a new clutch, two rims, a pair of handle bars, three sets of tires, and a kick start assembly. The only factory defects are the bolts that holds the clutch basket in place and the tires are way too soft to ride on any dirt that isn't tilled up. But all together, I have won the Illinois Super Series 65cc Senior, LTM Track Championship 65cc Senior and was fifth in points in the state of Illinois. Even though I am too old to race 65's, I still love going to the track and wooping up on 85's, 125's, 250's and even a KTM 300.

I got this bike a couple months ago and can honesly say it rocks. It isn't modded and wheelies in all gears and I can still keep up with my competition. The only complaint I have about this bike is the seat foam. It's too hard and hurts your bottom on big jumps. The engine smokes all other 85s...

I've ridden them all and have mainly owned YZ250's. I decided to try the KTM and will never go back. The quality in the engineering is evident but hands down the bike tears the competition up! It's faster, better handling, more reliable, lighter, and an all around blast to ride. Great for the...

From a quality stand point, I would not hesitate to buy another KTM. The motor was great. Power was very broad for a 125; the KTM would pull turns a gear higher than other 125s. Quality of components was excellent. Bad: The worst trait about the bike was that the front end provided very little feedback in turns. The front end would tuck with no warning on flat turns. Stabillity was also somewhat of an issue, though not as much of a concern as the vague front end. My suspension was stock, perhaps I could have fixed the front end with some suspensin tuning. 06 SX's got new frames. The front ends are much better on the 06's.

This bike has been a very reliable bike. Starts within 4 kicks (cold). It is a very quick bike and will easily stand up with almost no warning to the less experienced rider. The Magura clutch will reward those who have the guts to match their throttle control skills. Honestly, the bike is a little...

The Magura clutch will reward those who have the guts to match their throttle control skills. Honestly, the bike is a little too much for tight woods (but can be used there it really shines on motocross tracks and open trails. Probably needs a flywheel weight. Other than this, it is the open class killer. The KTM quality, fit, finish are unsurpassed by any of the big-4.
