I am the only rider in this area with a ZZR, everybody else either has a GSX-R or a Hayabusu. I want to add a muzzy slip-on in the future and extend the rear tire too. I looked at a lot of different bikes prior to getting this one and this was the best choice for insurance, style, pricing and performance.

Well, the first time I wrote my review I only had 280 mi. on it; it's now at over 12,000. And that's in 9 mos. I still love this bike but I have ridden it enough to speak more on the pluses and mention the minuses. Great power for its size, a little slow below 5 grand but that's not that bad for a 600. Frankly, I can pull a wheelie at 5k and ride it till rev. limiter in 1st. The power is strong all the way up till redline but most strong at 9-10k on the tach. I've taken it to 168mph with a little room to climb still. The motor is bullet proof even with so many miles on it, it still performs like a champ. The 3 for reliability is not to the motor but the frame. I discovered a crack at the top weld to the left of the gas tank (that's a manufacturer's defect not mine). Comfort could use some work if you like long trips (I took a 300+ mile run w/friends and we had to stop about 5 times to stretch and rest) trips of about 100 mi. or so are ok. The mirrors are so you have to move your elbows to see behind you, the headlights are very bright (I got pulled over by a Sherriff because he thought I had my high beams on when it was only my lows ;), but the stock tire SUCK!!! If you all enjoy the twisties, have some fun and toast the rear one and buy yourself a set F&B of Michelin Pilot Power - Best Tires on the Market!! Huge improvement in handling in dry and wet, and stability. Overall, this is an awesome bike for anyone (great for newbie's, I taught 4 people to ride motorcycle on my bike).

For new riders just follow the break-in prodedure and you will stay out of trouble until you are ready to handle more revs. Everything works fine. I am happy with my choice thus far.

My first bike and I couldn't be happier with it. It has great power all the way around. Corners very well; I can drag my knee. Fast? I have hit 160mph several times. For a first bike you can't go wrong with it. It will hang with all the other 6 hundreds - it just depends on the rider. If you're... read more

For a first bike you can't go wrong with it. It will hang with all the other 6 hundreds - it just depends on the rider. If you're considering getting one, just do it; you won't regret it by any means. The only thing I would want is for it to be fuel injected.

But, the 2007 model feels and rides much smoother and better. I love the hot red color. I've had this cycle about a week and absolutely love it! This is a fantastic bike both for newbies and seasoned riders. I wouldn't want any other cycle but my ZZR.

I'm very tall and I sat on many bikes before I picked the ZZ-R, and this one just seemed to have an all around better feel even with my height. I get looks everywhere I go and it will keep up with any 600 out there, and my new exhaust takes the experience to a whole new level. Great bike!

Nevertheless I love my zzr600. My friend got a 2004 suzuki gx6r and let me tell you when he insisted that he wanted to try out my zzr600. He fell in love with the bike. He's kind of rowdy and wild. So I only let him try it once. No more... He might do something terrible.

Still have no complaints. Rock solid bike for the money. I raced an R6 and GSXR 600 on the interstate at the same time. By the time I hit 6th gear I had two lengths on them both. Needless to say this bike is the real deal! It may not have coolest paint scheme or be the trendiest bike out there, but it is the "best bang for the buck" winner hands down! It can be a great starter bike, as long as you respect it!
