If anyone who is reading this is trying to decide between this and a 2-stroke, go with this! I didn't think I was going to like it but the first time I rode it I fell in love and the more you ride it the more you like it. It's great...pulls extremely well out of corners, good traction, good suspension even for light riders. I'm only 140 pounds with gear on and I'm 5 11" and it's good for me, good for short shifting too, also there is not a lot of compression for the kick start. Therefore, that's good and the hot start works very well. If you are transferring from an 85 to this 250F like I did, your butt is going to be sore the next day because the seat's harder than the thick 85 seats. Over all it's an amazing machine!

I have owned this bike for a little over a week now. My first response to it is my jaw scraping the ground. The bottom end of this bike is meaty and the top very good for a bike with SO much bottom. This bike handles like a dream, no matter what I throw at it; through sand, mud, and clay it performs on all surfaces with precision. I'm more of a big kid for my age so I am picky about suspension, but when I rode this at a track one of my buddies made in their backyard, I was amazed by how smooth it was. I have been racing for only this year I've had a Yamaha TTR-125 and a Kawasaki KX100 and I will never leave Kawasaki now. The level of quality, performance and consumer friendly additude is a nice mind set. All around great bike!

This bike is the fastest 250F I have ever ridden. The performance is worth the money, trust ME! My dad is a big guy and he rides a 1500 cruiser and he couldn't handle the power this bike offers! I raced all my friends ATV's and dirt bikes and no one beat my bike. It's that fast. Since the seat is low I can ride the bike on trails very easily. Over all the bike is comfortable. Quality, the bike is a rock, I can't hurt this thing. When I ride, I ride hard and it's still thumping fine. The ONLY problem I have had is that is it is hard to start when the engine is cold.

This bike has so much power I didn't know what to do with it! nice suspension and pretty comfortable for a guy my size I would say (my friend is about 5'9' 170lbs). I now plan on selling my old XR and buying a new 250f, these have got to be the best bikes ever made!

Just came off a Suzuki 125 and onto the new KX250F and I'm glad I did. The new '05s have better suspension, motor, and steering than the Suzuki's. The 250F has no heating problems and I haven't had to do any work on it besides regular oil changes. Wow! What a step up from 2... read more
