I purchased a 2002 honda metropolitain from the local dealer early last summer. The scooter is really cool, by the way all you guys out there who think it looks gay the chicks love it so thats definatly a plus. The reason I rated the scooter a 3 out of 5 is that it doesnt have the pep of most other 50cc scooters, but it travels up to 25 mph, which is fatst enough for cruisin around the suberbs to and from friend's houses and what not. I would definatly recomend it to anyone out there looking to purchase a new scooter. Show less

My girlfriend and I bought two metro 50's and have really enjoyed them. The scooters are well enginered and have lots of storaged especially when the rear truck is added.The engine is really quiet with adequate power. The flashy colors and styling get alot of looks. Alot of fun for the money. Show less

I purchased a Honda Metropolitan 2 last year -- I use it to scoot around the neighborhood when I am bored. I bought it for the Nascar races and car shows in the Charlotte area. I like to take it out of the back of my pickup and scoot around the speedway and area looking at all the hotrods. Since traffic is slow during these times I fit in. I weigh about 230lbs and this takes me 25mph -- fast enough for what I need it for. Show less

I am a student and school is right up the street I also live in the city so my metropolitan is great. I love it and it makes people smile when they see it. Tell me another vehicle that does that.... Show less

This scooter is an excellent little machine. The price is right. The ride is smoother and more stable than many other scooters and gives the rider a sense of floating along a regular street. Gas mileage is also excellent. Another bonus is that the scooter doesn't sound like an irritated bee like the 2-stroke machines. This 4-stroke has a nice low pitch and is much quieter. Maybe the only thing lacking is some pep in acceleration. But given that it's a 4-stroke engine, it's no surprise. Overall, I highly recommend it. Show less

I have been riding my metro for two months now and its been a blast! I love the classic yet unique design, fun colors, its light weight and gets AMAZING mileage! Perfect for around the town, but I wouldn't recommend this for long trips, as it can only hit about 38-40 mph. Show less

I loved the retro look, liked the ride and performnce, although I had not rode a scooter in the last twenty years, so of course initially I was a little nervous, especially regarding balance, accelerating ,breaking,gauging turns! I took off very slow the scooter handled extremely well at my "older woman" slow speed! After riding less than twenty minutes around my neighborhood ,I felt confident enough to venture out of my comfort zone into semi-heavy traffic. This scooter does what you ask, when you ask, be it starting,speeding up, slowing down or stopping. Sleek and nostalgic the Metropolitan is the scooter for anyone looking for performance and art! Friends, family and gawkers, love and ask questions about this little "Juice" dream cycle! Show less
