I have had all types of bikes from a Goldwing to dirt bikes. I presently have a Honda Sabre 1100 and a Ducati Monster. But I have to say, riding around on a scooter is like magic. It is like you are on vacation having a blast but you are in your home town. The Metro runs well and right out of the gate will do 39mph. Good brakes and storage is a plus. I was worried about leg room but that is not a problem once you are underway. I would not venture onto major highways since you really can't get out of traffic easily but for secondary roads and around town, this is really the way for American's to learn how to travel cheaply and with environmental benefits over the 4,000lb SUV's. It just so happens to be a ton of fun too. It costs $18,000 less than most Harley's. So far, everyone has told me they need one of these scooters too. People crane their necks to see what you are driving at stop lights. And everyone has to ask what you have when you get off at a store or restaurant. So far, the Metro is fun and based upon the other reviews, my family can save money at 40mph and 100mpg. Nice machine Honda!!

I owned one of these scooters for six months and really enjoyed it. It is a very easy to operate vehicle and a lot of fun. As far as performance, it is not what it could be for a 50cc. It has heavily restricted, but very easy to derestrict while staying in VA legal limits. There are a TON of accessories for this scoot, everything from engines to cosmetics. The engine is great to work on, a little tight in places, but no harder than most. My only complaint about this scooter is that it loses power when going up hills. I totally recommend this scooter for anyone new to scooters, or someone who does not want to deal with getting a motorcycle license.

I live in the hilltowns of Albany county and was looking for something that I didn't need a motorcycle license to get up and down the hills. Initially, I was reluctant to buy the Met II because I was afraid it would not make it up the hills. The Honda salesman told me it can handle steep hills and it does! I take the scooter up steep hills--45 to 70 degree inclines with no problem (it will go about 10 to 15 mph up these hills). There is also a lot of storage space under the seat as well as a handle by the rider to hang a bag of groceries.

I received a Denim Metro for my 30th birthday last year and have to say I love it. We also bought a Solar Met since I'm not into riding alone. The bike has zipped all over Houston and continues to perform great. With the price of gas, we use the scoots for errands, trips to the store and even to go eat at a diner or shop. The trunk under the seat is a nice size and takes care of my needs. I would suggest that anyone interested in buying a scoot check out the Honda Metropolitan. 40MPH...not a problem! We normally get about 100mpg.

The brakes are responsive. The headlights are amazingly bright for their size. The seat is comfy (it also provides some decent storage beneath). It was 30 degrees when I went outside to start it this morning and it fired right up. I love it. I've already convinced almost 6 people to buy one. Amazing! Kudos Honda.

It may not have as much low speed torque as other scooters with a good 2-stroke engine, but its acceleration is smooth and strong, and it can reach a top speed of 42mph effortlessly. The ride is not sporty but very comfortable. It has thoughtful antitheft features: lockable stand and steering. The Honda quality control and build quality are unbeatable. If you are looking for a stylish, fashionable, and dependable transportation, this will be a great buy for you!

Being a male, I thought I would hear it from my friends or co-workers for looking too sissy. On the contrary, everyone that I've shown it too loves it. Everyone wants to ride it, and when they do they say they wish they could get one too. The Metropolitan is fun, economical, and cool as well. I look forward to my short commute every day. By the way, the "juice" color has grown on me. I call it "Orange Creamcycle".

I bought my Metro in April. Had so many compliments I lost count. The engineering on this scooter is amazing!! I would not switch to a 2 stroke because the mileage is better and it runs quiet. I get real good acceleartion and on a straight stretch I can get 40 mph. Maybe the rest of America will wake up when gas is $5.00 per gallon and ride these to work. Look at the fuel savings for 1 week !!! By the way, I haven't even put $4.00 in fuel with 480 miles on the odometer!!!
