I've had my 1300R for a little over 2 years - great b-day present from my wife. Previously I owned an '83 Shadow 700 tariff-buster. After that Shadow I was a die-hard Honda Fan. This 1300R is everything I expected from Honda: reliable, easy ride and a nice aspect for us 6 feet & over folks. The tall windshield is a necessity for us on the highway. The worst possible thing I can say about it is the seat won't be very comfy on a longer haul for anyone larger than me.

My VTX came with V&H long shots, Power Commander & Hyper Charger, and on top of all this it was dyno tuned to maximize this rocket of a motorcycle. It also came with a Corbin seat and Honda Line windshield. After my first year on the road with this bike, I have backed off a bit on the thottle and am now averaging about 35 mpg. I love the power & speed to pass anything in my way and look forward to the next ride everyday of the week.

I've been riding for 20+ years and this past spring got onto a VTX1300C after riding all the competitors bikes in this class. The VTX put a smile on my face like my former '83 V65 used to. It's what I expect from a cruiser bike and unlike other reviews I've read feel there needs to be some little vibration if it's to be a true cruiser. If I wanted a perfect ride I'd look at the Wing. The vibration is minimal, power excellent and looks are head turning! One downfall is I feel the shifting could be quieter but it's still no different than any of the other bikes I test took for a test ride. My biggest gripe would have to be accessories costs greater than that of Harley!

Other than the quiet pipes I love it. I added the Ultimate Low Rider Seat, the neo back rest and performance windshield and it looks awesome! I have had people drool over it and they were upset that they bought a smaller bike and paid the same amount!

I had looked at several makes and models but being a man of large stature, the 1800 fit better by far. The performance is unsurpassed. I've only put 5k on it but haven't had the first worry about anything to do with the reliability or quality of the bike. And for comfort, amazing. It's great for the big boys out there. If I had 5 thumbs, they would all be up for this one.

Yeah - this bike will take your breath away! First of all - the 'N' model is rare and I think the look of that rear fender makes it one of the best looking cruisers available. Order the BLUE paint, and people will come over and comment about the bike EVERY time you go out. Twist deep into the throttle and this bike pulls like a jet taking off at full power. The adreneline rush from that - is heart-pounding addictive!! And she has fantastic brakes to match. The hydraulic clutch is so easy to pull that your friends will be jealous if they try it, and it feather's very easily. Size? It's HUGE, and that has advantages and disadvantages. It comfortably loafs on the highway, but the surprise is how well it handles. Point it and lean and she goes exactly where you look, and returns to upright with no effort at all. Slow speed manuveurs take serious practice (practicing the exercises in RIDE LIKE A PRO DVD by Jerry Paladino took care of that). The bike feels (and is) very top heavy. BUT - once you get used to it and get used to handling the size of the bike, you don't notice it anymore. Like any other motorcycle the stock seat needs upgrading, but other than that the bike is very comfortable. I made it 'perfect' for me with the upgrades listed below. Bottom line: TOO MUCH FUN!!!!

My 2003 VTX1800C was my first true cruiser. I had a 1993/750 Nighthawk and I was looking for a step up. This bike starts every time and really gets the looks wherever I go. Once you figure out the power band, the fact is this bike is actually a beast if properly operated. I've smoked past several crotch rockets who were more interested in wheelies than racing.
