Honda VT1100C3 Shadow Aero reviews

Now that I am a little more mature, I wanted a more laid-back bike. This one fits the bill - not too heavy, reliable, good looking and not scary powerful. I have not done any modifications except for swapping the rear seat with a Hondaline rack. To change back takes about 20 minutes. I get good gas mileage and enjoy it a lot. The seat could be a little more comfortable. I just shift my position around a bit and it is tolerable. I plan to keep it for a while and put a lot of miles on it! Show less

This was my fifth bike - I bought this bike used with only 5,000 miles. I have had no major repairs and I've taken road trips yearly. This bike is great in city commuting as well as at home on the open road. I love the balance and the power-to-weight combination. So now with 37,000 miles, I'm looking to finally trade up to a "used 2008 VTX1800" and my son will enjoy my old and still very clean VT1100. Show less

I have had no issues with my Phantom. I put over 15K in 1-1/2 years. I needed a back tire - that has been it, great Honda quality and good gas mileage. Show less

I bought mine new after not riding for several years. I thought it would be a great bike until I wanted to move up in size. I was so wrong!! This beautiful ride is gorgeous, comfortable and super reliable! Who could ask for more!! Maintenance is cheap - mileage and performance are outstanding!! I expect this bike will take me to 100k+. I recently bought my 2005 Shadow Aero used with only 4,000 miles on it - it's practically like new. I love the bike and it didn't take long to get used to it. It has gobs of low to mid-range torque and I love the sound of the V-twin motor. It also has lots of chrome and the dark candy red color make it a real head-turner. Honda has done it again with another great motorcycle - I know why I keep coming back for their products. No one will ever beat them for bulletproof reliability and quality. I own two of their ATV's and this is my second motorcycle. I'll never own another brand -period! Show less

I've owned my 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 for two years and love it. It's a very comfortable ride, has decent power and has been very reliable. I've added a few "extras" to make it even better. I would definitely it purchase again if I had to do it all over. Show less

I last posted in 2011 and have had the bike for two years now. I now have almost 42k on the ole Honda Shadow Spirit 750DC. It has been a good, reliable bike. Pros to this bike are many. Cons are chain drive (buy a good chain and that will help) and tube tires. Mpg. averages around 50. Show less

I have owned a couple of other bikes and was actually in search of a Harley but found the prices to be too high. I found this bike and it was in great shape with a couple of add ons. The price was fair and the bike has turned out to be excellent. It sounds great with the Vance & Hines pipes and rides well. I'm very pleased with the Honda line. Show less

I bought this at 12k miles and it was six years old. Since then I have put on over 6k miles. I ride daily and I chose this bike based on past bikes (Kawasaki 350, Yamaha 1100 full dress tour). I like the styling of it and it's not lacking on performance. It has a good ratio of quick and top speed. Cruising speed of 70 is just fine with this thing. I use it daily in the city and on trips. One must have that came with it was the Mustang seat. It is great just for what it's tagged to be. It's easy to maneuver and handle low-centered slow rides are sweet on this. When I need to pick up the pace and battle freeway traffic, it's not an issue. I would be hard pressed to go back to full dress but only for the accessories. Show less
