For a bike that was voted best in its class, it's true!! That is with a few minor modifications, I found that the suspension was set up too soft good for a rider that weighs under 150lbs so, with some help from race tech the suspension is dialed in perfectly. Engine performance felt a little week at the low end but ripped at 7g's with the VTEC made up the difference with a set of slip-ons and a power commander, by changing the OEM exhaust also shed some extra weight... almost 32lbs.This bike will hang with the big dogs (gixxer 1000 and R-1) except when they have to stop to stretch after a set of twisties, I'm leaving them to carve another set of corners combined with the ABS this bike is as close to perfect as a bike can get Thanks Honda

This bike is perfect for what it is. Not the fastest bike, but I think 150-160mph is fast enough. Then the VTEC kicks in and the bike becomes fast. In the non-VTEC range (under 7000 rpm) the bike is more like in economy mode, but not slow. It's not the lightest bike, but heavy enough for the...

In the non-VTEC range (under 7000 rpm) the bike is more like in economy mode, but not slow. It's not the lightest bike, but heavy enough for the highway rides and light enough for the back road rides. Very comfortable and sporty fit but it all depends on rider. Quality is awesome, but this is a Honda!

Have a Yamaha Royal Star cruiser, and love it. Decided to add a sportier bike to the stable. At 47, I was not interested in a pure sport bike, so I shopped every sport-touring bike on the market. Thought I had settled on the new Yamaha FJR1300, but $13k and no opportunity to see it before buying...

Thought I had settled on the new Yamaha FJR1300, but $13k and no opportunity to see it before buying turned me off. Found a leftover 2002 at my local dealer, they made me an unbelievable deal, so here I am. Just turning it in for the 600 mile service, but I already know I made the right choice. This bike is quick, stable, and FUN. Wish I had bought one sooner.

Just picked the bike up on Saturday and have put about 100 miles on her. I did a lot of research before buying this bike. I looked from HD models to even BMW's. For all of the new technology (VTEC, ABS, FI, LBS) the new Interceptor blows away the competition. I am looking forward to getting thru...

Just picked the bike up on Saturday and have put about 100 miles on her. I did a lot of research before buying this bike. I looked from HD models to even BMW's. For all of the new technology (VTEC, ABS, FI, LBS) the new Interceptor blows away the competition. I am looking forward to getting thru the break in period and add some pipes and see what the VTEC is all about. The fit and finish are of course top notch, I also think the VFR has a great look and the best part is you will not see one next to you at a stop light. So if you are looking for a great bang for the buck, sport bike, cruiser, or commuter you can't go wrong with the new Interceptor.

I had a friend who purchased a 1984 Interceptor 700. That was a sweet ride especially for the day. Twenty years later, I purchased a 2003 Interceptor and the bike still does not disappoint! It has the looks, handling and the speed, but what I like best is that you don't see very many around, which makes mine grab that much more attention. No flashy graphics...not needed. It looks fast just standing still!

Bought a holdover 2002 new as the 2003 models sat on the floor last year, so dealer was anxious to move it and the price was right. It's been happy riding ever since. This is a solid bike that does virtually everything well. It has better ergonomics than a pure sports bike, but much more comfortable and better for long rides. The only thing about the bike I wish I could change would be to take a little weight off of it. I've just cleared 4,500 miles with no mechanical problems at all. It is a solid bike for anyone who wants a sporty look, power, comfort, and a comfortable riding position.

I am the first reviewer from Florida. Now I have 4400 miles on the bike and it is just getting better and better everyday. Everything stock on the bike, only changes: a tank pad and removed the unnecessary passenger grab handles and foot pegs, the back looks much cleaner now. Had the sub frame recall done. After 3k miles the bike really opened up much better and runs unbelievably smooth. I intend to keep this one for a long time. Ride safe everyone.

I purchased a new 2001 carryover VFR when I saw the 2002. I was a previous VFR owner(1986)and new the V4 was the way to go. I purchased a new 2001 carryover VFR when I saw the 2002. I was a previous VFR owner(1986)and new the V4 was the way to go. With a couple modifications (Corbin seat and Throttlemeister), I rode to Colorado and back (2200 miles)in 5 days with very little problems. The trip home I rode 800 miles in one day. You can easily ride 500 miles in one day on this bike with a custom seat. The bike handles like a dream, more power than necessary on the street and amazing looks. I plan to add bar risers this spring and continue to pile up the miles. The only complaint is that the gas tank isn't larger.
