When I bought my used Reflex as my first bike this past spring, everybody thought I was nuts. Now that gas is hovering around $3 a gallon, I'm an even happier camper on my reliable scooter than when I first bought it. This bike handles nicely, and it lives for city driving, where I get roughly 70MPG (less on the expressway, even though it holds its own there, too). The quick starts and stops, and its great maneuverability have all served to get me out of some tricky situations familiar to most street riders. I get compliments on it wherever I go - from car drivers, bicyclists, pedestrians, and coworkers. Even my dad (a long time BMW enthusiast) was impressed by its handling and underseat storage. I love my bike. I love it every day. And I love filling it up for well under $10. *giggle*

Very good, dependable machine that is excellent overall in quality and reliability. Ride is a little rough over bumps -- still exploring the different rear shock settings. Have had it only a month (~700 miles) and looking forward to owning it and having this practical and fun transportation for quite some time. Getting close to 70 mpg in mixed riding. Bought this 2001 with under 4000 miles, in great shape. Deffinately would buy another Reflex.

I ride it almost everyday to work which is mostly highway and about 24 miles round trip. It goes on the highway nicely and is able to go 65-70. I have had it to 75 and I'm sure it could hit 80. I have the tallest Givi windshield so I'm sure that cuts down on some top speed. I would recommend this bike for people who go on short trips of about 50 miles one way. It is capable of doing more but I just haven't yet. Great overall bike.

I was without it for two days while it was getting its first main. check up. I hated leaving it. For those trying to decide between a Reflex, Burgman, Majesty.....go with the Honda. I looked at all of them. Happy riding.

I own a BMW R1200C (cruiser), Yamaha FZ6 (Sport), Honda Elite 150 (scooter). The Reflex is a real bike - real disks brakes, real suspension, weather protection, and it comes with a trunk and auto transmission, which is so nice to have in the city with all the stops and go's. The first time I rode it I was doing 60 MPH without realizing that I was going that speed! The engine is a little rough idling and in the first few yards taking off from stop, but then it smoothes out like no thumper has the right to (I used to have a BMW650 single cylinder and the Reflex is smoother). It stops like a real bike with hydraulic brakes. It can change directions like a sports bike. The other day I was riding it with a 30 MPH side wind and it felt quite stable, more so than my sports bike. On the highway it can do 75 MPH all day long and still get great mileage. I went shopping at Wal-Mart and between the under seat trunk and an aftermarket Givi bag on the tail, I took home a plastic container of cat litter, a bag of cat food and 2 shopping bags of stuff. I don't think any other bike could have done the same. In the city I found the power adequate, now this is coming from a guy who rides a 1200 cc cruiser and a 600 cc sport bike. On the highway I found the power slightly lacking, but once one takes into account that the engine is only 250cc, then it's acceptable. I don't know if I would take the Reflex on a long trip though, I would worry about the near red line running for a few hours stretch which she is capable of doing due to the big gas tank (for a scooter). Did anybody take her on a long trip? Over all I rate the Reflex as the best all around and by far the most practical, economical bike I have ever owned and I intend to keep her for a long time.

A few days ago I rode 75 miles each way to Cape Cod. Going south I did about 40 miles at 75 - 80 mph. Those south shore drivers like to ride fast. Cars were right on my tail the whole way. Coming home in 30 degree temps I slowed to 65 mph the entire 75 miles. I was impressed with the comfort and quiet of the bike. Gas mileage is less than 60 mpg at 80 mph. I carry my briefcase, chain, small tool kit, extra gloves, and a sweater in the trunk. A few small things like a flashlight, sun glasses and cell phone in the glove compartment. Change in the dash box. For two thousand miles this bike has only needed gas - no air or oil. No adjustment. I love Italian scooters, but I hate maintenance. This bike doesn't need anything but a rider.
