I bought a 91 nighthawk from its original owner with around 9000 miles. It’s been an excellent bike, but for a taller individual like myself (6,2) it hurts my back and legs on long trips. It also in my opinion could greatly be improved if it had a sixth gear. Other then that it’s been fantastic. I’d recommend one to anyone. Show less

Yes I've not owned long but could be the best value per dollar except the Norton I bought for 500 dollars and sold for 1000, it will cruise comfortable on the interstate at 70 or instill confidence in the twisties, maint cost very low reliable won't leave you stranded, love the bike my 25th 50 years of riding. Very smooth ride - Great starter bike. Lots of power and easy to control. Comfortable seat. But needs higher RPM to keep battery charged. Show less

No, I'm not a new rider. No, I'm not returning to the sport. I've had many bikes, mostly Honda, mostly cruisers - from a Rebel to a VTX1300R and all size points in between. The Nighthawk CB250 is just plain fun! Warning - do not get one if you want to impress the profile group or the sport bike group. If you can find one,(mine had only 500 miles on it when I bought it last week). Do yourself a favor - ride it. 2nd warning - you might impress yourself. Show less

I'll probably never sell this bike. It's a solid all-around bike for people who'd rather ride than wrench all the time. PROS: Comfortable 1-up/2-up, easy to work on yourself, cheap to buy/insure, pretty fast, handles very well at speed, extremely reliable and no-maintenance hydraulic valves. CONS: Almost useless rear drum brake, so-so gas mileage (38 mpg. mixed city/hwy.), heavy for a 750cc @ ~500lbs wet, shifter is a bit clunky for a Honda and odd size bias ply tires. If you can find a '91-03 Nighthawk 750 in decent shape, buy it. It'll do just about anything - commute, tour, canyon carve - and won't ask for much in return. I wouldn't recommend it for a first bike because of the weight, but it'd be a perfect first "big" bike. Show less

I bought mine new after not riding for several years. I thought it would be a great bike until I wanted to move up in size. I was so wrong!! This beautiful ride is gorgeous, comfortable and super reliable! Who could ask for more!! Maintenance is cheap - mileage and performance are outstanding!! I expect this bike will take me to 100k+. Last bike I'll ever need! Thank you Honda, I'm going to enjoy every mile and save money all the while!! Show less

I recently bought my 2005 Shadow Aero used with only 4,000 miles on it - it's practically like new. I love the bike and it didn't take long to get used to it. It has gobs of low to mid-range torque and I love the sound of the V-twin motor. It also has lots of chrome and the dark candy red color make it a real head-turner. Honda has done it again with another great motorcycle - I know why I keep coming back for their products. No one will ever beat them for bulletproof reliability and quality. I own two of their ATV's and this is my second motorcycle. I'll never own another brand -period! Show less

I last posted in 2011 and have had the bike for two years now. I now have almost 42k on the ole Honda Shadow Spirit 750DC. It has been a good, reliable bike. Pros to this bike are many. Cons are chain drive (buy a good chain and that will help) and tube tires. Mpg. averages around 50. Show less

I have owned a couple of other bikes and was actually in search of a Harley but found the prices to be too high. I found this bike and it was in great shape with a couple of add ons. The price was fair and the bike has turned out to be excellent. It sounds great with the Vance & Hines pipes and rides well. I'm very pleased with the Honda line. Show less

Taller riders would do well to install a control relocation kit. Sadly, at the time of this review, none really exist for this model. Otherwise, this is an excellent bike. It feels light and agile, and is quite responsive to a twist of the throttle. Show less
