Honda Gold Wing Audio Comfort (GL18HPM) reviews

I just wanted to tell everyone that is interested in buying a new motorcycle that after owning a 2009 Ultra Classic Harley and going for a test ride on a 2010 GoldWing, there is no comparison. The GoldWing is a far better handling bike. It has way more power and is honestly a dream to ride. I have been riding bikes for 32 years now and I only wish I had ridden a GoldWing years ago. It is by far the best motorcycle I have ever ridden. By the way I bought the Goldwing and will never go back to a Harley. Show less

I had a 2003 Illusion Blue Wing that I loved, but someone decided to run me over and total the bike so I bought a new one. My wife loves to go with and after a short trip to Des Moines for the Wing Ding, we traveled with friends (who own a 2009 Wing) to the beautiful state of Colorado. We visited our son logging over 2,900 miles through all kinds of weather and road conditions. The Wing handled fantastic even with all the junk my wife hauled along. (May need to invest in a trailer!) Can't wait till the next trip! Show less

After three months of riding our new 1300 with the Motor Trike kit, we are basically pleased with the Trike. We get lots of positive comments and questions about it. Since there are many around here in Nebraska, it is almost a novelty. The only problem is the customer service. There is none. No follow-up calls or any contact from the dealer. Even the MotorTrike factory has sent me to another dealer for work on our bike. If we did this all over, I would definitely go to the local Harley dealer and get a Harley Trike. Customer service there is absolutely awesome. Never again will I go back to this dealer. Not even for warranty work or service. We are driving 90 miles for all our work now. Show less

This bike was a dream of mine to get. In March, 2006 I took delivery & have never been happier. Some annoying little things have happened. Foot Peg Rubber (Torn at edge twice) and the Trunk Hinges (Wire Holders). The Dunlop Tires didn't last long enough. Clearance in the center of the bike is too low. Plastic rivets are a nice idea but tend to lose a couple. Besides that all else is great. Center of gravity is always awesome on Honda's products. Handles super for me for such a large bike. Plenty of Torque. Wished it was a 6-speed though. It would improve gas mileage which is not bad right now. It ranges from 39-45 mpg depending on how I ride. Love it over all. Keep listening to the buyer & success will continue. Show less

I had a 1989 GL 1500 before I purchased my 2005 GL 1800. I personally love them both. I have nothing but good things to say about my 05 and as of this writing I know of nothing that even comes close to the feel of the "new" goldwing. There is NOT a finer bike made. Show less

My last Honda was a 1978 750 Supersport I took to Alaska from New Mexico. This one's like driving a luxury auto on two wheels. Tuck in the XM with weather report and it's a load of fun. Looking forward to many trips and riding hours. Show less

I have ridden v-twins for over 40 years and never thought that I would own a Gold Wing. I definitely made a good choice in the 2009 Audio/Comfort. At 6 feet, 7 incles it seemed a bit cramped inside the fairings but after riding for a while it feels great. With approx. 100 miles a day on the beltway commuting to and from work, this is the ultimate bike. Good fuel mileage, creature comforts and great handling. After 18 years at the top of the touring class, what is left to say. Show less

The Gold Wing is a fantastic ride. The comfort is superb, the ride sublime. Our 2008 Gold Wing took us to the Alantic and Pacific Oceans. The Gulf of Mexico and up into Canada. The bike is a masterpiece. No matter if you have the cruise control set and are eating up miles on the or are dragging the pegs in the twisties this machine can do it all. You can customize it till your hearts content, chrome, lights or other safety related goodies! Gotta love it... Now, if they would only make tires to match the machine! Show less

I have been riding a 1990 Honda Pacific Coast 800 for the last 10 years, I thought it might be time to upgrade. I ordered my 2010 gl1800 base model that had premimium audio, heated seat, grips and in the pearl yellow on july 2009 and patiently waited a whole month to take delivery. On Sept 2, 2009 I took delivery of it and 2.5 hours later I rode it off the dealer lot and cruised it for 60 miles to get the feel of this AWESOME machine. The power, wind protection, comfort, etc., etc. was way over my expectations. After riding the pc800 I thought that was a great machine, boy was I wrong. With 2 months of ownership and 2600 miles, I am still smiling inside my helmet and just amazed on how Honda has made the best touring bike there is. Show less

In the past 6 years had a Honda Shadow 600, gone up to Goldwing, Magnas, Valkyrie, Yamaha V-star, Suzuki C50C, and a couple of other scooters. This Silver Wing is my 12th one. And I have to say that I am very impressed. Like it very much. Has everything I wanted and felt very solid. Communicated very well with rider(me)in handing bumps, taking off, and stopping.
