I've been riding and racing dirt bikes since I was 6. I've ridden WR250Fs, KLX300/400s, and 250E/XCRFS. The only bike out of that list that you can compare with the CRF250X is the WR250F. When I decicded I wanted a 4-stroke trail bike I started looking at Yamaha WR250Fs. I rode a couple & thought this is a nice bike. Later, about a month before I was going to get my new bike I saw the new Dirt Rider "Bike of the Year". I looked at it & went "WOW!" when I saw the new CRF250Xs. I rode them, looked at them and decided to get it. The reasons: more plush gripper seat than WR, low seat height but high ground clearance, and I just thought the rear light was awesome, you can barely see it compared to the WR. Those are the reasons I chose the CRF250X. This is an excellent bike for a beginner to a pro.
