I previously owned a CRF230F. This was a great bike, and held up like a Honda. Which means it never broke down one time. After awhile, I decided I needed to go bigger and better. This is when I purchased the CRF250X. This bike is pretty much flawless for trail riding or about anything you throw at it. I have climbed many steep hills and it glides right up them. Took it to the track yesterday and for an X model it seemed fairly fast and handeled the jumps and whoops without a problem. I found it was hard to keep the front wheel down though. All in all this bike is great.

I have had my bike for just over a year now and I could not be happier. I previously owned a line of XR's and had ridden many other bikes, absolutely nothing comes close. It makes riding in tough situations much easier and fun. I have a good riding buddy who rides a KTM MXC525 and we get together every couple weeks and go. I have climbed every single hill he has, I am more and more impressed everytime I take my bike out. Best bike!!

The crf 250x is the best bike out there. It handles great on any terrain you take it on and with mods it just gets better. I mostly ride trails and it's great on them but I also race it and there's no comparison with the 125 class it just blows them away. Overall I think it's the best money can... read more

I coverted mine to dual sport. I added a brake light with a license plate holder. I also added handle bar perches to mount two small mirrors. I sure get looked at while riding in town. I think the 250x would beat a crotch rocket off the line, but haven't tried it yet. I'm a little concerned at when I will have to rebuild the engine. Mine still feels pretty tight with 2100 miles with no more maintanence than changing the oil regularly. I have noticed that if you don't ride it for a week or so that it has a tough time starting. This may be from rejetting it or the cooler weather or maybe even both. But all around I am very happy with this bike.

It doesn't matter what I'm going through, it handles it all very well. The brakes were great going down the slopes in the sloppy stuff and never once did I feel out of control. Bike has not used any oil. I am using Amsoil 4 cycle Motorcycle oil.

When I decicded I wanted a 4-stroke trail bike I started looking at Yamaha WR250Fs. I rode a couple & thought this is a nice bike. Later, about a month before I was going to get my new bike I saw the new Dirt Rider "Bike of the Year". I looked at it & went "WOW!" when I saw the new CRF250Xs. I rode them, looked at them and decided to get it. The reasons: more plush gripper seat than WR, low seat height but high ground clearance, and I just thought the rear light was awesome, you can barely see it compared to the WR. Those are the reasons I chose the CRF250X. This is an excellent bike for a beginner to a pro.

After years of wanting a dirt bike, living two blocks from a desert trail and having buddies in this sport, I decided to buy one. After a lot of research and talking to friends who race, this one was highly recommended. As a beginner, I had no problems putting this thing in the desert and keeping my balance. This bike handles great in fine dirt and gravel, two factors which scare newbies like myself. I also like the fact that I really don't feel I need to upgrade to anything more powerful in the future, considering most of the riders I know claim I don't need anything more than a 250 on trails. Gave it a 5 all around and the electric start is a plus! Keep the oils serviced as required (check them before your ride)and a maintenance log for the fluid changes.
