This bike has got it all. Speed, power, torque, and it handles like a champ. The first time I got on the bike, I didn't think it was going to keep up with my dad's CRF450. Not only did it keep up, I kept passing him up out on the track. He was no match for me going up and down the hills at Carnegie out in Livermore, CA. My CRF230 couldn't handle the hills and it wouldn't make it up them. My dad thought he had the best bike. WELL THINK AGAIN DAD!!!!!

Get the $400 kibblewhite s.s valves. I rarely adj my valves since I put these valves in. Change gearing if you ride any thing other than the track. This bike hates reving high for long periods of time. With stock gearing the bike is pissed off going 60 mph. With different sprockets you lose a little in first gear but it will extend the life of the bike.

This is the best bike I've ever riden. I've riden Hondas all my life and I've also had a yamaha yz250f and they all fall in comparison. This bike feels really light when you're riding it and you also feel bigger on the bike because the seat to peg ratio is smaller and also the bars are closer to the tank. All the weight of this bike feels like it is at the bottom and it is very balanced left to right. So much so that you can stand the bike up and let go of the handlebars and it will balance itself. Suspension set up from the factory is great. I've found no reason to adjust anything about it. No matter what obstacle I come across this bike will handle it like it's not even there. The power comes on right away and is a smooth but powerful build all the way to the rev limiter. It corners great and has loads of traction.

This thing is so bad; I love it and I wouldn't want to be on anything else when the gate drops. If you have one, power to you, but if you don't, get off your piece of crap and go get one. It's a tall bike but when you're riding, it feels low and stable. It handles like a dream. I softened up the bike a lot, I had to. When you get it from the store, it is set up for a 140-150 pound rider and I'm not even close. I ride in the sand a lot so I got this bike; it has the power to push you in the sand. Once you set the bike up to you and your riding style, you'll love it; just think 45ft table in second gear - it moves. Go get one you'll love it.

When we go to Glamis, I keep trying to ride it but it is just too much power for me so I decided to buy the 06 crf250r. Let me just tell you that this is probably the best bike I have ever had. It is fast off the line and in the long run. It handles great. The suspension might need a little tuning but other than that, it's awesome. And with the new dual pipes, it has a mean look from the back. Let me say this bike is the best thing that anyone could buy right now.
