The first year for the twin spar frame is Honda's best effort towards a perfect 250 motorcross bike. I have owned a fleet of CR 250s ranging from 1988 to 1997, as well as riding a 2000 model, and the 97 is the best all around. It has the engine, the reliability, and the suspension to be at the front of the pack today. Keep the air filter clean, chassis lubed, and the oil changed, and it will last forever.
