This is my first bike ever, and it's so comfortable. I have taken long rides through the north Georgia mountains, and other than sweating in the Feorgia heat, there was no discomfort at all. This bike handles very good, and the performance is there if you feel the need to push it. When I was looking to buy a motorcycle, I had my mind set on getting a CBR 600 RR and then I sat on the F4I and that's all she wrote. I bought the blue and black one, because this bike just looks so great, and I always get compliments on it ever where I go. Show less

While you may have trouble keeping up with the R1, this bike holds its own in the 600cc class. Good throttle response, great breaks and as you can see from the mileage, this bike will go for a long time; as long as you can keep up with the maintanence. This is my first bike and I can't see any reason to scrap it for a bigger one yet since you really can't use all this one has to offer on the roads. Show less

Ok. I said I would update my review once I rode the Gixxer (Suzuki GSX 1000). It's a racing motorcycle, and it rides like one. The front bar handles actually touch the gas tank when you try to turn the bike. Of course, you may not need to do much turning, but it simply doesn't have all the clearance the CBR 600 F4i has. The Gixxer is made for racing, and a lot of body manuvering. The tank is so much bigger than the CBR tank. The handling is not as smooth, and the ride is not nearly as comfortable. No banana seat like the CBR. However, the Gixxer is a Monster when it comes to power and speed. Simply frightening. I didn't open it up, but I felt the potential power. The CBR is multipurpose; cruising, long rides, racing and over all enjoyment. The Gixxer is primarily for racing, and undoubtedly outrunning everything in site. Considering my personality, and what I want to do I'm keeping my CBR 600 F4i. I'm going to purchase a full racing exhaust system, and a power command and call it a day! I've been on the Yamaha R1, Suzuki GSX 1000 and many other bikes. The only brand I'm most comfortable on is Honda brands of all sorts. I just happen to like the way the F4i looks in comparison to other CBRs, but all Hondas feel good!!! Will update you all once I make the changes to my bike. Show less

This bike is the best bike I have ever ridden, it's the only bike I have ever ridden. If you are just starting out, this is the perfect bike. I love this bike. It has smooth riding, good steering control, easy clutch, and let's not even talk about the throttle. If you don't have a CBR 600 F4i you've got to get one. I am a female, 21 yrs old, 5'9", 165 pounds and it's perfect for my height and weight. Just the right amount of power and control for me. I really enjoy this bike as a first time rider. It is very comfortable, easy to handle and has enough power to get me there in a hurry. It gets a lot of compliments when I am out on the road. I have truly enjoyed my experience on this bike and would recommend it as an all around solid bike. Show less

This is my very first bike. I had 2 lessons on a late 90's 929 and this bike is much more forgiving. To all the women who are looking for a great first bike, I highly recommend this one. Super smooth acceleration and even though I wish it had a split seat, it's comfortable on a 5 hour ride. The balance is so good I've even taught my husband how to ride on it. Show less
