I bought my silver and black 2007 Honda CBR 1000 about 8 weeks ago as a second bike. I ride a lot of miles, mostly highway. I had to immediately envision how I wanted my CBR to look when I picked it up. The huge blinkers had to be taken off fast, along with the unsightly bumper. I removed a couple of decals, which luckily weren't cleared over! While I was at it, I removed both rear footpegs and the side black plastic exaust pipe cover. After I polished the aluminum exaust cover that is located underneathe, it looked much better. I then was ready to install my Yoshimura exaust, which was about 7 inches too long. After a little wrestling, it was cut and back together. I immediately noticed an increase in low and high end power. I thought temperature may increase, but it actually seemed to run cooler with the new exaust. The sounds that come out could almost be described as harmonic. If I take it easy, it yodles. If I really get on it, nothing but even, clean toned screaming! No problems with backfiring. I am impressed with the handling at not only the close turns, but on the highway at 180mph. In 1st, 2nd and 3rd, the front wheel does want to come up without popping the clutch. It's a very light weight bike with immediate, responsive power. I ride often, so I'm pretty much conditioned at this point in the season. Therefore, I don't have any major comfort problems to speak of. I have to say that I am really happy that I purchased this bike!
