I recently had the unfortunate experience of owning a 2008 Harley Road King, and it pains me to say that it has been nothing short of a headache on two wheels. The combination of chronic electrical issues, particularly battery drain and bad ground problems, has turned what should have been an enjoyable riding experience into a constant struggle. First and foremost, the ongoing battery drain problems were a nightmare. No matter how diligently I maintained the bike, it seemed like the battery just couldn't hold a charge for more than a few days. Replacing the battery didn't solve the issue, and trips to the mechanic became a regular occurrence. The frustration of being stranded due to an unexpected dead battery became an unfortunate part of the ownership experience. Adding insult to injury, the bad ground issues exacerbated the electrical woes. Constantly chasing down wiring problems and dealing with shorts became a routine maintenance task. The lack of reliability in the electrical system was not only inconvenient but also a major safety concern. It's disheartening to invest in a bike that can't be trusted to start reliably and without issues. To make matters worse, the maintenance costs for the 2008 Harley Road King were exorbitant. Frequent visits to the dealership and specialized mechanics drained my wallet faster than the battery on this ill-fated machine. The combination of high parts costs and labor charges made routine maintenance feel like a financial burden, turning what should be a joyous pastime into a regrettable expense. This has been the best bike I’ve ever owned! The Road King is reliable, strong, and is one of the best looking touring bikes out there. The only discomfort I have is the reach needed for the handlebars. Sometimes on slow sharp turns, I have to lean forward to get a full extension. Show less

Purchased in 2022 and a true barn find. I have owned many motorcyles and this is my 7th Harley. I teally like the 07 and 08 RKC's. Looked all over and could not find a low milage example. I came across this o e at a Kawasaki dealer that had literally came out of a barn after sitting for 15 years and only 4700 miles. Absolutely filthy and beutiful at the same time. Pearl white and pearl cobalt blue. Cleaned up and reconditioned many oarts this bike is awesome. I could buy a new one with cash but it would not look andfeel like this one. A work of art and a true nostalgic experiance. Hard to explain but its awesome. Show less

The Touring Road Glide is a dream to ride. With the CVO upgrade, you get a stronger power plant in the 117 CI engine. With a good Stage II upgrade with cam, it can be a beast on the Highway. The fixed frame mounted fairing gives a solid feel on high speed touring on freeways. Buffering from passing vehicles is lessened because of it not mounted to the forks. All in all, if I were to get another HD touring bike, it would definitely be a Road Glide. I am a certified Harley-Davidson Texhnician and have been wrenching for over 12 years. Show less

This is a great and beautiful bike and really would like to keep it. But realize I just haven't had time to ride it. It's a joy to ride when I do get the time, nothing is like a Harley ride. I've gotten plenty of compliments on the candy Orange color too. I upgraded the stereo and speakers (Bluetooth/Sirius XM capable). I just had a 10K full service done with brand new tires and brakes done at Harley Davidson in Valparaiso, In. (receipts available) I'm also throwing in two brand new Harley Davidson helmets that I also just got for me and my wife (Bluetooth capable also (Lg/M). I have about five more years before retirement and I be purchasing a brand new Harley for a retirement present, so I figured that someone should enjoy this awesome machine instead of sitting in a garage. I have been dealing with the people at Redrock HD in Alabama and have found the people who are in the building are under Extreme Control by the corporate fuck sticks. I have been continually working on trying to get my registration completed Since April 6,2022….. I am usually a fairly patient person but found “incompetent” situation’s rearing it’s Fucking Ugly Head pretty much the entire time during the process. Not to mention HD has lost credibility in my life with the pricing for there products. You have lost your mind in today’s market. Catch up. Fuck the Asshole Stock Holder. Show less

I've owned 3 different Roadking models. 2001 2010 and finally the 2019 that I bought new. The bike is solid and smooth and powerful even stock. I've had no breakdowns on any of my Roadkings. Never stranded. Routine maintenance is easy to do at home if you're mechanical. I've enjoyed the 2019 and pit 26k miles on her so far with zero problems even after having g the stage 3 installed it still runs perfectly and has had zero issues. Show less

I've owned 3 Roadking bikes over the years. No other Harley gives you the comfort and plush ride quite like this model. You get all comfort without having a permanent fixed fairing stuck to you bike. 20 seconds and the quick detach windshield is off. Just as easy to put it back on. You get two bikes in one with the roadking. Great bike like I said I've owned 3 of em. A 2001 a 2010 and a 2019 currently. Get one you will NOT be disappointed! Show less

I love this bike..I am the second owner and have made many upgrades to the bike.. All LED lights, Removable Tour Pack, Painted the inner fairing and repainted the Desert Dogs Front and back.. Just installed a new rear fender... What I like best is the fact that if I am not on a long road trip I can remove the tour pack in a few seconds and install the riders back rest that goes with the bike along will all the luggage ...
