Harley Touring Bike reviews

I purchased this motorcycle new in 2011,and was my third Harley owned. I rode a 93 Lowrider, 2006 Softail but was looking for a more comfortable ride for my wife. The 2011 Ultra Limited was the right upgrade, for touring on the open road, very smooth and comfortable. Cruise control, windshield, and stereo makes the open road enjoyable. Heated handgrips a plus for cold weather days. This bike is in excellent shape, brand new tires and Vance Hines dual exhaust, 6 th gear a must for highway tourning. Show less

Bike has been very reliable, had no problems, stereo sounds great .Comfortable ride . Have another bike and just don’t ride much anymore . Garage kept, one owner. Low mileage , just little over 8000 miles Show less

One owner , stage two kit since new , two into one header , cam , race tuner. New ties ( less than 500miles) brand new battery, well maintained since new. Runs great and hit the road anytime. Many chrome add on’ s 49,900 miles. It was made to travel Show less

Great bike. Comfortable to ride long distances yet sporty enough to ride locally. Sounds great, deflects 90 % of the wind. Handles well in the mountains. Would recommend this bike for any style or type of rider. Show less

I am the original owner of this motorcycle and have owned it since brand new. I am an employee of Harley-Davidson located at the Product Development Center in Wauwatosa and have taken meticulous care of this bike. Always stored indoors when not in use. This bike has been extremely dependable and a pleasure to ride. All modifications and repairs over the years have been completed by myself. Only reason for selling the bike at this time as I am getting older and having a tough time holding it up. I have since purchased a Tri Glide and will not be riding this bike anymore. Bike has been reliable , trouble free , once I received the bike I re alined the side car and ajusted the brake buy adding a hydraulic compensator so the rear brake on the bike and the brake on the side car acted together. this avoide any pulling commonly found with side cars Show less

I purchased this motorcycle in 2005. It had 5,050 miles on it at the time. I've put 78K miles on it including 3 cross country trips. Having been an aircraft mechanic I'm very disciplined about doing all the required maintenance consequently I have never had a breakdown with this bike. It's been totally reliable and even at 83K it still starts and runs perfectly. The quality of the factory build was excellent but I did find the dealership workmanship on some of the accessories subpar. The initial performance was also subpar. In 5th gear at highway speeds twisting the throttle did little or nothing. A stage one upgrade resolved that issue. For touring the factory seat was adequate but replacing it with and oversize seat with gel pads and a driver back rest made a long day's ride more enjoyable. I love the mustache engine guards. They provide an addition place to rest your foot when riding and the factory cruise control makes for a steady laid back ride. Would I recommend this motorcycle? YES! If your enjoy touring this is one reliable and comfortable long haul bike. I rode it from Washington State to The Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia and on the way back drove the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. I really enjoyed owning my Road King. Comfort is top tier, for rider and passenger, with wind buffeting hardly noticeable with the fork fangs. The Ohlin shocks made the ride smooth, eating up bumps. The aftermarket Vance and Hines pipes aren't too loud but make for a nice rumble. I added a Ciro phone holder wireless charger and a big cup holder for those long trips. Gas mileage is excellent. The Tour Pak has a rack on top for extra storeage. 2up seat is comfortable, so my wife says. Bike cover is included! Brand new battery. Battery tender is included. Just changed the oil and filter at 25000 mi. There is a reason cops ride these bikes in motorcycle rodeos: they corner like a rabbit! Show less

I also have the lowers the same color as the bike and the engine guard standard one came on the bike.
