The 2022 Ducati Supersport 950S is a stunning blend of sport performance and everyday usability, offering riders an exhilarating experience on both the track and the street. Here's a breakdown of its features and performance:
Engine: Powered by a 937cc Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder engine, the Supersport 950S delivers 110 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides ample power across the rev range, making it suitable for both spirited riding and daily commuting.

Electronics: Ducati has equipped the Supersport 950S with a comprehensive suite of electronic aids, including Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), and multiple riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban). These systems work together to enhance the bike's performance and safety in various riding conditions.
Suspension and Handling: The Supersport 950S comes standard with fully adjustable Ă–hlins suspension, allowing riders to fine-tune the bike's handling to their preferences. Combined with its lightweight chassis and agile handling characteristics, the Supersport 950S offers precise cornering and excellent stability at high speeds.

1. It has brutal amounts of power on tap (170hp!) but a very refined power delivery
2. Huge amounts of low end torque to get off the line and out of the hole
3. Sounds pretty awesome also with the Acro pipe it comes with
4. Very relaxed riding position for those long rides
5. Comes with saddle bags as part of the package
6. You can get low and high option saddles for it
7. Heated grips and heated seat
8. Active cruise control is amazing with blind spot detection
There are also some things I didn’t particularly like about it compared to other bikes:
1. Honestly the saddle is not that soft so my ass hurts on long rides, but overall it’s pretty decent. The high saddle I use is a bit softer than the stock one.
2. The quick shifter works awesome if you are on the gas or in higher gears, but 1st to 2nd at low speeds is a bit rough. Going slow I usually go to 2nd with the clutch.
3. The 19” front wheel is probably awesome for going off road but I prefer the 17” sport bike feel. Maybe the V4 pikes peak would be better for folks who want sport bike handling.
4. The built in navigation using the Ducati app is not very good. I put my phone up there and use that instead.

Would like to start with the positives of the Diavel:

Great bike, very easy and comfortable to ride! Powerful, Looks very good(my opinion). 3 riding modes that can switch on the run, sport very jerky at low speeds(gas is very sensitive) touring was best for me! still the 162HP but much smoother. Amazing keyless option, got used to it fast, miss it ever since. THATS IT!
The bad?
Big, heavy bike, its a long bike. absolutely no wind protection! So if you planning on long trips, must get aftermarket windshield at least. Use in the city? short commutes? bad idea, gets very hot FAST, terrible side exhaust pipes design, BURNS your right leg! Clunky chain(hits the swing arm) remove the plastic chain guide, got better but still there on bigger bumps. Mirror screw get lose, often. Very few shops agreed to work on it, its a ducati! Desmo service very pricey for what it is!
Overall great bike if you can do the maintenance yourself. It was my second bike(beginner) however it gave me confidence when riding, it is comfortable, easy to ride looks and feels sporty, very easy to lean it in the corners. Its a heavy bike so even on windy days on the highway it was very easy and predictable to control it. Got used to all the above negatives and lived with them as the smiles per mile were way more then negatives! Enjoy it and definitely buy it!

Now these are great bikes and if it were an ABS model we would be closer to 6k. Really not sure when they corrected the clutch basket chatter on the DL1000, but that issue alone would make me lean towards the DL650. Suzuki wouldn’t even fess up to the clutch problems and make it right. The 650 is solid, 50-60mpg low maintenance. Just a little buzzy above 80mph.

Sadly a garage fire ended that bike and several stable mates. I have since replaced the r11, and just in the last couple months found a low mileage ST2 in FL. Taking care of the typical early ST2 issues and those created by storing a bike for many years. Already falling back in love.

I agree it does not have massive power but it just goes on reving and the power keeps coming.
The brembo brakes are fantastic and will stop you on a dime.
Weighing In around 200kg it is the lightest tourer I have ever owned.
Prices in 2021 seem to be appreciating fast for the Ducati ST2.
They do of cause offer the scope to make a great cafe racer or street bike, I choose to keep everything original.

When the ST2 came out in the lates 90s I bought a Honda Blackbird which I toured on. I wish now that I bought a ST2. It is lighter, has amazing hard luggage. And sounds incredible. It is also a dream to work on. All I can say is ride one andyou will realise what a bike this really is.

More sports bike than tourer, it bombs through rough sweeps at 130kmh, wanting to go faster. Love listening to the induction howl! And it eats up the twisties with the best of them. The bike is sure-footed and intuitive to ride hard, keeping others quite honest and shaming a few of them. Add in heaps of character and it's an easy bike to love.
