The trike is good-looking, and comfortable to sit on, but this is where it stops. Its problems are never-ending. The most unreliable engine I have ever owned. Within days of purchasing a brand new 2022 Spyder (Sea to Sky), it started to give a consistent error message. The battery is weak, a few days without running or charging and its dead ( a few days, no longer and in a warm weather). Approximately a month after its purchase, the rear box latch started to get temperamental, locks at times, doesnt at times. The signs of open door is out or order, now less than a year after its purchase, a recall because of " serious risk" related to malfunctioning brake lights. The nearest service centre is a 100 km away, and they advise immediate return. Lots of other issues in 10 months. Actually, there is rarely a month without a malfunction of a kind, mostly electrical. It feels that the idea exceeds the capacities of the manufacturer. I hope that some of the other, more reliable manufacturers will start to venture more into the trike market, sparing riders the limitations that BRP can not develop past. It is alarming that BRP is finding its way in the electric vehicle market, despite its limitations being so focused in electronics.

She has enjoyed almost every mile with me. Additional item have been added to the bike such as: Trailer hitch, Magic Mirrors, Luggage rack, Sway Bar, Riding Pegs, 2 USB ports on dashboard, New Battery. Complete oil change including oil, oil filter, air filter and all new O rings less than a 1,000 miles ago.

After having a persistent park brake problem with a 2015, the move to the 2017 was well worth it. After having a persistent park brake problem with a 2015, the move to the 2017 was well worth it. The 2017 came out of the box with just a minor belt adjust and gave me the best ride of my life. 20,000 miles later and I can't say enough good about this Spyder. If you haven't owned one and driven one, you don't know what you are missing. The first 500 miles is the adjustment period, then after that you will say, "why didn't I do this sooner". Fantastic, comfortable, all the performance you could want and an attention getter where ever you go. You are only limited by what your mind limits you to. The Spyder goes far beyond your limits, there is not turning back once you own and ride a Spyder RT LT... :)

I can honestly say that I miss my Harley Tri-glide but my back feels much better on my new trike and the difference in cost gave me the ability to switch to side by side for hunting that also helps my back. I am still adjusting to the feel of this trike on the roads. I feel that it does not handle as well at speed in dirty air. It is great for backroads and knocking around but a traditional trike Harley or metric although need to muscle in turns a more stable platform in my opinion.
