I purchased my 06 Outlway in April of 06. It is everything I had hoped it would be. Performance is excellent and the handling is better than you would expect with the increased rake and wider rear tire. A review on the bike in American Iron magazine called it the perfect entry level exotic custom. I could't agree more. I haven't ever left the house without getting a thumbs up. I would recomend this bike to anyone.

I ride my Texas Chopper long distances like 500 miles from home to Precott, Arizona and that is a one day ride. I have lots of canyon roads around my house and it evens carves the road up. I know this because Harley riders who are following me sometimes comment they can't believe how fast I take corners. Texas chopper is a comfortable ride too, I know because I have had both hips replaced and I feel great riding - no aches or pains.

My 2005 American Ironhorse LSC is the hottest chopper on the planet!! I call it The Dragon! I've owned my LSC for a year now and I still love it as much as I did the day I got it! In the last year, I've entered 3 bike shows and The Dragon won first place in it's class in all 3 shows. The Dragon also took all the Best in Show awards and the only Best Paint award offered. Everytime I ride my LSC I get compliments. The bike has made me almost famous. There is nothing like riding an American Ironhorse Chopper! -DC

I purchased this Lifan 250 V-twin in November 2005. I had it shipped to the closest air terminal, picked the bike up, brought it home, uncrated it and assembled the front wheel and tire and handle bars to the front forks. The neutral safety switch was pinched off at the left handgrip. I ordered a new one and had it sent to me. Since it was winter (too cold to ride) I used blue "Locktite" on all nuts and bolts I could access. I removed the "dinky" turn signals, replaced them with Yamaha OEM turn signals I bought. I used the "mustache" rear assembly from a Yamaha 650 Classic, and the front light bar from a 2005 V-star 1700. This change gives the bike more "personality," and superior quality. I installed a pair of "Savage" leather saddle bags, and a leather tool bag that straps perfectly to the rear seat backrest. The shift lever and foot brake were very uncomfortable for my 32" inseam legs, so I purchased a forward control kit. This eliminated the problem and is now the most comfortable bike I have ridden (for its size) so far. I haven't had a moment's problem with starting or driving this bike. It handles great and is easy to maneuver, driving or pushing it to store in the shed! First gear is a bit torquey and I'm going to contact another reviewer to find where I can purchase a 38 tooth rear sprocket. I did a stupid stunt by filling the gas tank to within 1 inch of the top of the filler opening, put the bike in the shed (outside temperature averaged 90 degrees for 4 days) gasoline expanded, overflowed, and dissolved a streak of the clear coat on the gas tank! Overall I enjoy the bike, drive it everyday to and from work, and have not had any mechanical or electrical problems. A large number of the Yamaha Virago 250 parts are interchangeable. The owner's manual suggests 10-40 crankcase oil. I use Castrol 5-50 Syntec for easy starts and more protection from the heat caused at cruising speed and summer temperatures.

I have already sent in a review a few weeks back. I had some minor problems, and was a little upset. I have been riding my bike to and from work since. I must say that I am pleased. For the money I spent on this bike it is more than performing. It handles traffic well. The speed O is off, but only by about 5 mph. The max speed of the bike is quicker than 60 mph also. It is closer to the 70 - 75 range. I have been through my first oil change, and found no shavings. My first tank of fuel ($10.00) went 347 miles. I added rubber bushings to the motor mounts, and all but eliminated the vibration. I would also advise purchasing a nice pair of padded riding gloves. If you are planning on purchasing this bike for speed or sport pass it up. If you are looking for a real fuel saver this is the ticket. In 8 months the bike will pay for it's self.

Best bike made. It is what Harleys become after several years of aftermarket parts, save some time and money and you don't have to change anything, maybe the mirrors. Rides great, no problems, awesome service center. There is a suction cup in the tailbone area of the solo seat, take it out and cut 1/4 inch off of the threaded end and screw it back in, the numbness goes away. The digital information center is hard to see in the sunlight. The paint job looks like one off of a custom.

I got the Tejas a year ago and it rocks. I never had any trouble with it at all. American Ironhorse has been the best; I e-mail them and within 24 hrs, I had a reply to my e-mail. They were very nice and made sure that I was happy and all their bikes are very cool. I have many friend here who own their bike and they're very happy with them.
