This IS the bike for everything, on road, off road, two up or solo it climbs hills like a Billy goat and cruises at 80MPH without breaking a sweat. I've crossed rivers with fully loaded painters and been coast to coast on this bike. I don't like the NAV6 Garmin GPS. I've replaced it 3 times, each time it seems to work for a year or so then flakes out, i don't think it can handle any moisture which is pretty silly on an adventure bike. All in all however its a tremendous piece of machinery.

Have really enjoyed this bike! Only regret is not having the time to ride it more! Have owned several bikes, Harleys, Sport Bikes and others and get more compliments on this bike than any other. Just a cool looking blend of retro and modern that just works. A blast to ride. Abundant torque, great in the turns and comfortable for me for 2-3 hour stints for sure. Heated grips are great to have and accessory power hook up for heated jacket pants or use as battery tender installed. I am selling it for two reasons. #1. Kids are all out of the house and wife and I downsized. No more three car garage:( #2. Purchased 2023 GS 1250 R to take longer trips now that kids are off the payroll:)

Very nice low end torque, perfect on a windy road, weekend ride, but not so much for daily commute, although you will turn lots of heads. It’s a beautiful bike to be sure and mechanically solid. You need to monitor the oil closely as R9Ts are notorious for burning through oil, but on and all a great bike if you prize character and reliability over sheer performance. The only drawback is the aggressive riding position, which is perfect for leisurely carving curves, but painful when you’re stuck on freeway traffic. Highly recommend it if you are looking for something fun with lots of personality.

Rides well. Lots of plastic. I have 3 airheads so this is a different beast. Negative: Worst seat I have ever been on. I am waiting for Panniers so I strapped a bag to the rear. When it fell off ( That's on me) I ripped to rear fender and license plate off.I am not sure what this means, but would not have happened on a metal airhead. Bike is pretty high. I have 29" inseam and am on balls of feet bilaterally. When I bought new seat (for a brand new bike) I got a low one. Bike should also settle a bit. With 400 miles on it, take this review with a grain of salt. Ask me in a year. Still not sorry I did it.

1st, Ergonomically, not a bike for everyone. For me (my riding style, riding history, riding enjoyment) it's exactly what I wanted. The specs are deceiving, the internet reviews are also deceiving. With proper riding technique (and the ergos help you get closer to riding this type bike properly) it can be hustled thru any twisty road with confidence and right there with other high performing bikes. Straight line speed will not be it's forte.
