I just bought two of these a couple of days ago - one for my husband and one for myself. I weight 115 and he weights about 170. We both think this scooter has a lot of pep. No problems going up big hills at all. This scooter really moves. I wanted to write this because I have read some negative reviews about this scooter as far as hills and lag time. I'm not finding this at all. My husband climbs right up the hills just as I do. It is a beautiful little machine and runs like a top. I would highly recommend if you are looking for something to just bop around town with and have some fun. Honda makes a great product. A+++++.

I'm an experienced motorcyclist who's only 4-wheeled vehicle since the 1990's has been a lawn tractor. I was looking for a reliable, comfortable, lightweight and nimble commuter bike with city fuel mileage enough to thumb my nose at a Prius. I also wanted the speed, stability and passing power for rural highways, and, oh-yeah, fresh and sporty looks. That, as I found out, is a tall order. I bought my CB500F 'NON-ABS' model in black. It's only been about three months and so far I'm very happy with my purchase. It has all the points I was looking for, and suits my daily and commuting needs perfectly. Most pro-reviews I read look at the CB500F as a perfect beginners bike. While I don't disagree, I also think it's a great bike for the experienced rider who's looking for a fun, easy-going and drama-free machine. Nit-Picking: It's not the best choice for extended interstate travel, as the lack of wind protection gets tiring. It really needs a mud/splash guard to keep the road crud/mud from rainstorms out of the rear suspension and brake components. I'd also like to see a button(s) on the handlebar for scrolling through the LCD. All in all, it's my near-perfect bike. Thanks Honda!

This bike will take me on many IBA rides well into my golden years. LOL.

I've been riding for over 40 years, just to qualify the comments I am about to make. I have owned everything. I currently ride a 2012 Honda Gold Wing and a Kawasaki ZX 14R so you should know I have experience in all types of bikes. OK, the comment is WOW. I am really impressed with the Fury. After you get over the feeling that you are riding the BatMobile (which is cool, don't get me wrong), the bike really works. It handles very well for what it is and it brakes extremely well. The power train and transmission are very smooth, very nice. Honda really did it right with this bike. I have had some bad experiences with Harleys, one of them recently with a 2012 V-Rod that drank over a quart of oil every 800 miles. Unbelievably you can turn around and buy this awesome Fury for way less money. Absolutely typical Honda quality in all the right places. It really gets a lot of attention. Mine is RED and I mean RED, it is the perfect color to offset the black frame and chrome covers and pipes. It's a very cool bike, don't hesitate if you are interested in one, and I don't say that lightly.

The EFI and the modern suspension and brakes make the bike a blast to ride as does the neutral (and to me more natural) seating position. The bike has power, great handling and a great "eye" factor that is hard to beat. It's also a trip down memory lane for me and a lot of people who had CB's (a 400 Super Sport) as a first bike or the main bike back in the day. Try it - you will love it.

Unlike past bikes that had a carb (or carbs), this bike starts and runs flawlessly and doesn't need to be warmed up before riding. It is perfect on the city streets and the trails. I get over 66 mpg. and like the fact it doesn't need premium fuel.

I upgraded to this bike from a 2009 CRF230L, basically a jump from the 80's to current. Stock is a good start point. Water cooled EFI - that could be better. I went through the best dual sport bikes to upgrade to their performance kit. It was well worth the money spent. My top speed went from low 60's to 87 mph. - just like a 250 should be. They also have upgrades on everything else, too, and the list grows, But for the price and aftermarket stuff you can get, buy the bike, order the parts and get ready for a lot of fun. Yes I said 85-87 mph. on a 250!
