2011 Victory reviews

I bought a Kawasaki Versys back in 2008 but my eye was really on the Vegas they had nearby. I decided to get my experience with the Versys and to one day return for the Vegas. Now, 2011, I returned and got my Vegas! The bike is a beast. I love the way it is balanced, low center of gravity, handles like a dream and tons of torgue. I haven't open her up yet, trying to adhere to the break-in proceedures but man it is tough! I extended the controls two inches for my height. I would have given it all 5's but my tailight didn't work and had to return it a week later. I know I love this bike because the two days it was in the shop, it was all I could think about. This bike is an absolute dream to ride. It's sneaky fast and handles extremely well for a large cruiser. Some feel that the stage 1 exhaust isn't loud enough but for me it's just about right; fairly quiet at idle (good for not annoying the neighbors) but get on the gas and you'll be treated to a nice growl. Think off shore power boat instead of Briggs & Stratton potato. I'm getting around 45 mpg. regardless of how hard/easy I am on the throttle and can usually go through a tank of gas (~220 mi.) before needing to dismount and stretch. This is my first bike with cruise control and I will never buy a bike without it again. It really helps with the fatigue that comes from pounding the freeways. I noticed a slight rattling noise from the rear which turned out to be the license plate vibrating against the mounting bracket at certain RPMs. This was easily fixed by sandwiching foam between plate and mount. To summarize; great motor, light handling, comfortable, and an exceptional value compared to the competition. I also like the fact that you won't see many of these bikes out on the road. This is a very good bike. The gears are placed right for city and highway. It has all the power you really need. I'm very comfortable but I do sweat a little more with this seat on a hot day. My wife and I can go for hours without any discomfort. The handling for a bike of this size is very good, in fact it's the best handling bike I have owned of this size and weight. Show less

I have had a lot of bikes and this 8-Ball is without a doubt the best of the best. I also think the people at the dealership in Burlington, Ontario are among the greatest I have ever dealt with. Show less

I got my blue Vegas a couple weeks ago. I added the Victory leather-covered bags, "short" windshield and seat with driver's backrest. I went on a 150-mile group ride the next day and was pleased to be very comfortable all day! It is so easy to handle, and leans into curves very confidently. No vibration in the hand grips. I traded in a 900 Kaw and was a little hesitant to move up to something this big, but I immediately settled in and love cruising this bike! I get lots of compliments. My Harley pals like her because she's American-made, and my "metric" pals like her because she's not a Harley. Show less

It's a great ride, very responsive and manueverable. It's a pleasure to ride. My only issue is that for a large faring, there is no storage, like for sunglasses, GD opener etc. The luggage storage is awesome, but I don't want to have to stop every time I want to open the GD or put on sunglasses. I sat on nearly a dozen bikes before the 8-Ball and I definitely chose the best one. I had great service from the dealership on getting me a one up seat. It has all the power I want and a little extra. I'm looking forward to a long summer of riding. Show less

I've had the 2011 Cross Roads for a little over five weeks now. The bike handles and rides fantastic. I can't believe how effortless it handles - slow speed manuevers as well as highway sweepers. Performance has been flawless. It could use a little more rumble, but that can be fixed. I would like to have the handle-bars back toward the driver about another 1.5". Show less

I bought the 2011 8-Ball! I got to thank the person at the dealership for everything he has done for me. He "waited" two years to make my purchase. I have no complaints on the bike. I get a lot of looks and compliments from other riders. I can't wait to purchase a set of pipes for this bike. No complaints. Show less

So far the bike has been great. The ride is excellent. The stock windshield is for looks only. The C-Baily windshield works great. I did have one issue. I started the bike with the neutral light lit and when I let the clutch out, it lunged forward because it really was in gear. I plan to have this looked at during the 500-mile checkup. Otherwise, it's a very comfortable, great bike. Show less
