I purchased myvVaquero in 2012 , a 2011 left over , I enjoy the power , ride , and handling. The engine delivers a low rumble with stock pipes. I have ridden the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Dr. In 2016 I rode 11 states in ten days and logged 3,800 miles. This ride included Sturgis , the states... read more

I ride from March to Dec here in Northern KY. I really like this bike.

Bought the bike new in 2013. The ZX 14 is a very fast bike but is certainly not a trackway bike. However, with the touring gear added, it makes for a mile munching touring ride with more get up and go than anything else out there. In 40 years of riding, this has been my most pleasant bike. It comfortable, fast, incredibly stable as all speeds and especially in high winds. Even two up and fully loaded, there is NO change in performance and passing is a mere thought. Definitely a bike worth looking into if you want a sport tourer with a BIG emphasis on sport.

I purchased it on 05/31/2013. I love this bike and I hope that I can convey that in a review. I ride solo, in a club and with my wife. Since then I have gotten my iron butt for 1,000 miles in 24 hours on this scoot and planning a four corners ride in 2016. Love this scoot!

I bought a used red 2011 Vaquero after deciding to move up from my starter bike (Suzuki Boulevard M50), and what a difference! I no longer need to wear a backpack to work as the saddle bags have plenty of room. The big engine runs smooth and having the stereo in the fairing is something I've gotten quite accustomed to. It's year-round riding in Southern California and it's certainly more enjoyable on the Vaquero!

I've put 22,000 miles on this bike. I have zero complaints and have had no mechanical issues. This is my third Vulcan bike in 10 years - they're great bikes. You won't be disappointed if you buy this or any other Vulcan 900, 1700 or 2000. I was upset they quit making the Vulcan 2000. I... read more

No complaints about Vaquero - it's Best Buy!!

The bike is well balanced even for my short height. After installing a low seat from Sargent, I can flat foot the bike. Power delivery is almost perfect but a little soft under 2,000 rpm. Other than that, it's as smooth as silk especially the transmission. I get about 47 mpg. mixed city/highway. It's a very comfortable ride and well behaved in the curves. The KIPASS systems take a little to get used to, but when you do, it's fine. All the safety features of this bike have already saved me more than once. I can't ask for anything more from a Sport Tourer.

I had a 97 Vulcan 1500 Classic for over a decade. It was time for a new ride. I test rode the Vaquero in May 2012. WOW!!!! SOLD!!! It has everything a rider could want. It is nice to see heads turning when I pull in someplace. I plan on being on the bike so much that I ordered the XM radio kit.

Yet you can lay on the tank and get behind the windscreen "Crotch-Rocket" style. The engine is a "Torque-Monster" & super smooth. The power-band is awesome, "Power Every Where" at 55 mph. top gear, rolled the throttle 3/4 on & in less than four seconds I was going 120 mph. This thing ROCKS. Handling is great, super smooth. Just need to keep handlebar pressure on the inside bar to keep her leaned over. My last bike was a 2003 GSX-R 1000. The 2011 Ninja 1000 is way more comfortable, almost as fast and handles almost the same. I am 54 years old and love this bike. PS - when I get it broke in I'll give you a "Wheelie Report".
