For the money it is a great Cruiser that can be used for a Touring bike. My 2010 is actually a Kingpin Touring model so it has the feel, handling, balance and power of a Cruiser but is geared for effortless touring in 6th gear and has a very good suspension.

It has so much power you almost don't use the the 5th gear, so the 6th is purely for idling down the interstate and to save some gas money on longer trips.
Slightly heavier that my other Victory cruisers but you really don't notice the weight unless you are pushing it out of a slant with your legs.

I really don't even have the bike quite broken in yet but already I'm blown away. The bike rides like a Cadillac, it simply glides down the road, absorbing bumps and holes while you barely notice them. When you roll on the throttle...you better be holding on, these bikes of gobs of torque and power. Pictures I've seen of the bike were good but don't do it justice. Seeing the bike in person you'll notice all the fine details that photos don't show you. It has top shelf quality, comfort and performance. Obviously 400 miles isn't enough to chime in on reliability but go to victoryforums.com and explore the site. You'll find that these motors and transmissions are bullet proof. All you have to do is change the oil and ride.

I have been cross country four times on three different bikes. Some days I'm doing from 400 to 600 miles a day. When you do that many miles your backside gets numb - back gets stiff, hands hurt and you're just overall tired. I bought my 2008 Vision in August of 2010 in Montana after the Gold...

When you do that many miles your backside gets numb - back gets stiff, hands hurt and you're just overall tired. I bought my 2008 Vision in August of 2010 in Montana after the Gold Wing I was riding broke down. Last year I went from coast to coast riding 7,853 miles by the time I was done. For the first time I did not feel tired, sore or beat up from the ride. The bike was so comfortable I didn't want to get off. They say Vision riders don't want to ride, just local. We want to really ride the long ride. I live in New York and I need to only ride to three more states to do all 50 states by bike - Alaska, Hawaii and Washington. I can't wait!!!

I bought my second Victory back in June of 2011. I love the ride and comfort of this bike. It's big, but very controllable on the Colorado mountain curves. I do need to get the bag protectors because I have a habit of leaning her into the curves a little deep and get one heck of a scrape sound which reminds me to stop in the shop and pick these up. My XC is my favorite. My wife is 6' feet tall so it would be great if they would make a rear foot board to accomodate her. I have a 2006 8 Ball which I can't get her to ride since the XC has came into our lives. Maybe it's the radio or maybe because she loves me just that much. Thanks Victory for bringing us closer together.

I took delivery of my 2012 Vision three days ago. I had spent a lot of time waffling back and forth between Electraglide, Goldwing and this bike. I decided on this one because it was the most comfortable for me {my wife was most comfortable on the Wing, but comfortable on all three]. I wanted heated seats, standard on the Vision and Goldwing, but only on the Harley CVO, so that was out. I have a couple of build quality concerns, buy have been assured by my dealer that these will be handled at my first maintenance. There was a small tear in seat and a misalligned fairing. There was a little concerned about power, as I also have a Triumph Rocket. But with the pipes they installed, no problem. It's a very cool bike.

I picked this bike up from my local dealer on April 20, 2012. I rode it home with a big smile on my face even though it was raining. The motor has power and character in spades, the 6 speed gearbox is a peach, the handling although firm is well controlled and precise. I've had a Suzuki M800 which was good for the money and a Yamaha XV1900 and many other bikes of different styles, but this bike is in a different league. Because of my height I need to change the footpeg supports because for some reason the 8Ball has them 2" back from the Hammer S position. I am also putting dragbars on because it is no fun hanging on at highway speeds with arms bent at around 90 degrees. I will also change the exhausts for chrome ones because I prefer the look. These points are personal to me, but I cannot fault the bike otherwise and I would certainly look again at the Victory brand when it comes to time to change.
