My 2009 Bonneville Black is a very early model. It came from England built looking like a 2008 model but with a EFI motor. I have the T100 spoked wheels, peashooter silencers, and tank badges instead of the Triumph stickers. There are numerous little differences between the same model within the same year. My Triumph twin has been dead solid perfect, in every way and as reliable as the Japanease brand it replaced. My bike is garage kept and isn't ridden in the rain. I have performed all my maintainance and kept the gastank filled when needed. It usually averages between 48-50 miles per regular gallon of gasoline. The terrain I ride in it around 80 feet above sea level and is low lying coastal plain. As a testament to the Triumph Bonneville, If it were stolen today, I would buy another model of the same bike to replace it with, as that's how much I have enjoyed riding this machine over the last 14 months! Thanks for reading.

I decided on the Bonneville America after looking at the Honda Shadow Aero, the Suzuki C50T, and the Kawasaki Vulcan 900 and the HD Sportster 883. I didn't care for the riding position on any but the America and the Suzuki. The Suzuki, however, was much heavier and had much less horsepower. I wasn't able to test drive any of the bikes so I had to go by sitting still. Anyway, I couldn't be happier with this bike, it eats up curves, is fast, and really comfortable. Its build quality is right up their with the Japanese Bikes and superior to the Harley. The reason I gave it only 4 stars in performance is that I wish it were louder with the stock pipes. It's too quiet.

I moved from a Harley ElectraGlide Classic to the Speedmaster and couldn't be happier. I was tired of the bulk of my Harley, and went looking for the kind of motorcycle I rode in the 60's. I looked at BMW, and Ducati, finally settled on Triumph. Pound per pound I thought the Speedmaster offered the best buy. The bike was very comfortable and I felt good in the saddle. I put on a fly screen, leather bags, upgraded the muffler system, mirrors and some minor chrome parts, all Triumph accessories. I would like a bit more torque, but overall I love the motorcycle. I've done 2 long distance trips, and if your okay with cruising at 70 mph., or less, the bike is wonderful. In town and on back roads it is truly a pleasure to ride.

This is one fun machine! The engine gives fantastic performance over the entire rev range and the sound is pure road music. That coupled with the bike's light weight makes for a very spirited ride to say the least. I really like how the clutch engages as soon as you begin to release the lever and shifting is as smooth as you could ask. It is extremely responsive and handles curves like it's on rails. It is lighter and has a lower center of gravity than my FZ6 which makes it very easy to handle for someone my size. The seat wasn't bad but it seemed to pitch me a little more forward than I liked so I had it modified. It doesn't have as much lock to lock steering degrees as some bikes but the short wheel base compensates. About the only other negative is that the buttons that control the computer are a little tough to access.

This is a rigid mount engine, however, it's nothing like an older, pre- rubber mount HD. It's extremely smooth riding, and I highly reccommend leaving the stock pipes on if you like riding for long periods of time, because they're quiet and won't become annoying. I've recieved compliments from EVERYONE else on bikes, and even from non-bikers. Mine is the two tone black and white with the gold pinstripes (2009) which are hand - painted on, and it really is a stand-out look. I went the extra step and bought it with the touring gel seat and the foot boards, along with the triple light kit, and it looks very retro, and doesn't look at all like it's trying to be something else, it really does have it's own look. Every time I wash and/or detail it, I find myself spending just as much time staring at it afterwards as I spent doing the job. It's just plain gorgeous. It's also pretty darn powerful, yet doesn't feel like it will get out of control - PS - it handles more like a large sportbike than a typical cruiser, maybe that's the Metzeler tires doing their job, and I replaced both tires already during this 1st riding season. I would highly reccommend this bike to anyone whether they are used to sport-bikes or cruisers, it really does have the best of both worlds.

People are really impressed by the color scheme and how true to the original look it is.

This bike is awesome. I previously had a Harley Electra Glide which is a great touring/cruising bike but the seat position caused me some low back pain. I bought a Triumph Trophy and before long I traded and bought the new Tiger ABS, I almost bought a Sprint but I made the right choice!!! The upright riding position is great. The seat is very comfortable even after all day in the saddle. The power band is amazing through all six gears. Cornering is awesome and the bike is so nimble and just the right weight. I get about 51 mpg and I ride a little on the non-conservative side. I might add a Givi windshield and a tailbag. The side bags came with the bike as part of Triumph's promo. The bike has been lowered 2 inches as well. It is my favorite bike to date.

Very pleased overall with the bike. I used to own a sprint st and was used to a more sporty handling and more horsepower, but now that I have driven a while I really enjoy the ride. I would like it if the bike had more power, so I am adding pipes and open air kit. I also learned a lot from british customs products about performance options on these bikes. The bike gets a lot of looks and I also think the bike is an instant classic.
