I purchased this as a new 08-leftover in 09. I managed the break in period by the book. After the first oil change I was able to crank it and wasn't disappointed. Enough speed and power for me right now. Wife & I look forward to fun times this year with it. Show less

This bike is truly a comfortable ride. I have riden sport bikes for some time and am truly pleased with this one. One can ride upright or flip the back pegs down and lay down on the tank. You are not stuck leaning over the whole time. Easy to shift and smooth. I have riden non stop from SC to southern FL (yes stopping for gas) and was comfortable. Riding through the TN mountains was fun with this bike. If you want the best of both worlds at a great price this is it! Show less

I have had a lot of bikes over the years and this one is near the top. The good: torque like a cruiser great smooth engine with 100 HP smooth tranny good mpg (40-50) can be a great tourer The bad: seat is at most a 100 miler windscreen lacks protection paint is thin and easily scratched Show less

This is my sixth Suzuki and second 1500. My first gave me 40,000 trouble free miles and I really didn't need another, but when I got the chance to get another one loaded with options for a great price, I couldn't pass it up. I've put about 3,000 miles on it in three months and it's even better than my old one. It gets about 46 mpg in every day riding and it's not cold natured like my 2003 LC with carbs. The only problem is the small gas tank, but I still can go as far as most other bikers that I ride with due to getting superior gas mileage. Show less

Great for whatever you need be it commuting, touring or weekend cruising to the mountains. This bike is ergonomic, economic and tons of fun to ride/trick on. Many aftermarket parts and a huge fanbase so it has a history. Show less

This is a fantastic bike that is powerful and quick. The riding position is sufficient to spend a little time in the saddle without your rear end going to sleep. It slows significantly when you add a passenger, but single riding it is second to none. Show less

Bought the bike in Oct 2009. Best bike I have ever had. At my size it pulls me down the road at 70+ with no effort. The only bad thing is the 3.7 gal tank. Show less

I currently have 3 bikes-02GSXR600, 03GSXR1000 and now the 08Hayabusa. I put on 12,000 alone in 2009-and take this bike everywhere. Street or Strip and it's awesome. Most comfortable and fastest I have every owned/raced. Will have more in the future if need be. Great ride. Show less

13.200 miles since new in August 2008, and zero problems with the bike. A problem with the add-on light bar that came with the bike, but nothing else. Comfortable for my body, easy to control at parking-lot speeds, tons of torque and smooth and tight at 70 mph and up; it chugs along effortlessly at 70 and taking it up to the 80-85 range, which I do only occasionally, still feels totally smooth and effortless. Will get 50 mpg doing highways at 60 mpg, around 48 mpg at 70 mph, and I get around 43 doing my standard city/highway mix. The only negatives ... the tank only holds 3.7 gallons and the air-input stems should be on the rider's right side for much easier access. I think Suzuki should have given it throatier pipes, too. Picky stuff, I suppose, but in the end I have no complaints whatsoever. Show less
