This bike is awesome. I got it for Christmas. It has so much power that it can get a little scary when you hit the powerband. I would not recommend this bike for a beginner. If you want a bike that can smoke all the other bikes in its class, this is it. I can get 15 feet of air and not even get...

If you want a bike that can smoke all the other bikes in its class, this is it. I can get 15 feet of air and not even get close to bottoming out. You have to buy one.

WoW, Great bike! Been riding now for 16 + yrs & I have to say out of all the other bikes, Japan made, I've owned or rode, this one is the BEST. Just do the math & your homework & you'll see... Gobs of power, perfect balance & control. As for the seat being too hard, who sits down! A must have for...

I'm coming off of a 2004 CRF450 and I'm very impressed. Some reviews knock the handling on the KTM, yet I find it very confidence inspiring. Under hard acceleration the bike stays planted and doesn't hop around. I am very tired of tuning, adjusting, changing, or paying dealers to work on my valves. True, the four stroke power is smooth and easier to handle, but what fun is predictable power?! Also, I should clarify, I'm a recreational woods rider who does not journey onto the local MX track very often. When the bike hits it is way faster than my Honda and climbs hills like they are nothing. I'm now selling my Honda and will only buy two strokes (until they are outlawed of course). Plus it comes with Excel rims, awesome hydralic clutch, V-Force reeds, Brembo brakes, and the same relative price as its competitors. What's not to like about that? KTM Rocks!

First ride on the brand new motorcycle; didn't adjust anything, didn't set sag or rebound, etc and still had an excellent ride! First rate fit and finish. Felt funny at first going from a 1996 Honda XR 250 4 stroke to brand new 2 stroke KTM 250 XCW. Loads more power, tremendous handling and...

Looking forward to dialing it in.

What a machine. The front of this bike is usually off the ground! This thing is so fast! I took it to Miles Mtn MX track, it makes you feel so much in control. I tightend down the rear spring and cranked down some tension on the fork springs and set the rebound and dampening to fit my style of...

I tightend down the rear spring and cranked down some tension on the fork springs and set the rebound and dampening to fit my style of riding. It jumps great and lands like a dream. This is truly the best all around bike I have ever been on. Lots of low end power, you can't believe you are on a 2 stroke. I am headed to the woods this weekend...stay tuned!

I have had my KTM for about 3 months now and absolutley love it. I have been searching for a dual sport that was mainly for trails and barely street legal and boy have I found it. The best thing I have noticed about this bike is the fact that there is NO stall with the throttle. It doesn't matter what gear you're in. The throttle response is amazing (no lag). Our latest trip was during a thunderstorm with mud up to the swing arm and the KTM was not bothered at all! It simply kept pulling while others were falling or slowing down because the lack of grip! Not to mention that I enjoyed the fact that I covered the poor guys with mud from head to toe when I passed them. The only thing I disliked about the KTM was the tall gear and the hard seat. I resolved the gearing issue by going to a 14 counter sprocket instead of a 15 and so far this has helped out. I replaced the stock seat with the lower seat, which has not softened the seat, but I am sure it will feel better over time. I have also added a skid plate because it does not come stock. I am serious when I say that I had to search long and hard for a negative on this bike. This bike is amazing!!!!!

Best bike I've tried so far, the best power, excellent rider position, improved suspension, front's still a little stiff, though. Bike is a bit wider at the legs' zone, but works great because it gets your legs in a better position to grip the bike. Pity the airbox decals have to be overlapped when...

Pity the airbox decals have to be overlapped when placing the numbers, unless you make them small. This is an awesome ride.

The only negatives are that the seat is not very comfortable, and they don't come with a spark arrestor... Easy fix.

This bike flat screams. It is much quicker than I thought that it would be coming from a 2006 250 SX-F. The four speed transmission is perfect for mx and if it is geared slightly higher a grand prix type of race is not out of the question. The E-start button is without a question reason enough...

This bike flat screams. It is much quicker than I thought that it would be coming from a 2006 250 SX-F. The four speed transmission is perfect for mx and if it is geared slightly higher a grand prix type of race is not out of the question. The E-start button is without a question reason enough to buy this bike. It helps in situations such as crashes and stalls which are thankfully an uncommon occurence. The last thing that you want to do is kick your bike for 5 minutes after a minor tip over. 3 seconds on the button is all it ever takes to get her re-lit. I have read all of the magazine reviews of this bike and I don't agree with any of them. If there are some minor short comings the ease of restarting this bike surely make up for all of them. I race the west coast WORCS series and this bike is perfect for that type of event.
