2007 Honda reviews

My husband bought me my Shadow Spirit C2 for my 39th birthday this year. It is a bucket list item for me. At only 5'-4", I looked long and hard for a bike that "fit" me comfortably and something I could ride confidently as a beginner. The Shadow fits the bill. It is also forgiving of "new rider" mistakes, especially in shifting. I'm getting better, but I'm still learning to listen for the engine speed to match the gear just right. After looking at Harley Sportsters, I'm glad I chose the Shadow. It is a much nicer looking bike! The seat does get a little uncomfortable after an hour or so. Maybe a gel pad would help. Overall, I love my Shadow. I don't think I could have done better for my first bike! Show less

I got this bike in the summer of 2010 with zero miles. Since then, I have put a few miles on it without any problems. I had to get used to sitting up (switched from sport bike). All of my riding friends love my bike! I only wish it had a gas gauge. Show less

My last posting on this bike was 11/23/2006. I've had open heart surgery and some health issues so I don't ride as much. I just replaced the tires with Dunlop K555 (J). They are smooth at 35 mph. or 70 mph. The Spirit 1100 is a great bike with a great engine. I've seen a couple of these with over 100,000 miles on them. I wish Honda still made this model. It really is a fun bike to ride, the bike inspires confidence. Wind - It's a naked bike, be reasonable this bike is not at home for 6-8 hours on the interstate, but it certainly can be done and I have done it. Power - It is geared just about perfect and it acts well mannered in town and has plenty of power on the twisties. Value - This bike is probably impossible to beat for the money. Seat - Stock seat starts to hurt me after about 100-150 miles, a quick gas stop or restroom break and I'm OK again. Maintenance - Everything is easy and as far as bikes go, affordable. Show less

I changed my 2005 Honda VTX 1300 and I had it for five years and no problems with the bike. But I always wanted a 919, finally I have it and is great. The only problem is after riding for more than an hour or more at 70 mph., I am sore on my shoulders. Maybe I need to adjust my position or get some kind of windshield. Show less

This is the fasted thing ever. It will beat all the 85s out there. It has so much power stock and just a few aftermarket parts will shoot up all the stats. I love this bike so much!! Show less

I traded in my first bike - an '09 Kawi Ninja 250R. I have to say it was a huge jump from that to a liter bike but it's been a pretty easy transition. The mid-range power can catch me off guard sometimes but overall I love it so far! I bought it used. It was broken in very well and already had flush mount fronts and a fender eliminator for the rear. It's an awesome bike! I have to say though, I've been on a few buddies' 600's and one gixxer 750 and they are a lot more comfortable than my CBR, but I'm getting used to it pretty quick. It's just a different riding position than I'm really used to. I still love this thing, though. I bet it will be a while before I get another bike! Show less

This bike is the greatest. I do a lot of single track trail riding and it does everything I have asked it to do. I am a right foot amputee and all I have to do is hang on, the bike does the rest. Show less

I got the bike for Christmas a year ago and I've loved it ever since. The only thing i didn't like was the shifter, so I bought a new one and nothing else was ever wrong. Show less

This was an impulse buy. At first glance I was not a fan of the flames but the black candy coating paint job jumped off the sales floor. This is one of the most comfortable bikes I have ever sat on. It's fast, light and a real head turner. I love my Sabre. Show less
