Always wanted a Triumph since I was a kid and saw Steve McQueen on one; this is my first street bike, and it could be nothing less. Having relatives and friends with nothing but Harleys, I also wanted anything but. I get comments everytime I park it; it's nice to have a standout machine with a unique sound. Fit and finish is very good, and the lines are perfect cruiser. Could use a little more power, but plenty of time to upgrade to a T-Bird or Rocket Roadster, eh? Great job Triumph!

Hey I could write all day about how it s impressive but then I have a biased opinion. And if I took the time to talk about all that is right with it I would be cutting my time down on riding it today. If you want to GO YOUR OWN WAY and be approached by everyday bikers where ever you go, I suggest buying your own and finding out. I spent a lot of money chasing the dream on a Harley and it's still the same old same old. You can ride or you can call the Harley shop and check on the progress of your new Harley. Because the damn thing is junk from the factory. I truly live to ride and when I turn the key on my Rocket and put my leather and helmet on, it's heaven. Go ahead chase the dream but do it with confidence on a Rocket III. Enuf said!!!

The Good: Powerful engine (+/-120 BHP) provides great gas mileage for single rider, and ample power for double-ups. Max power at +/-9250 RPM (120BHP), max torque at +/-7000 RPM means wide power band at any gear and riding speed. Single sided swing arm and eccentric chain adjustment makes DIY servicing and cleaning easy/simple. Easy to remove seat, fairing sections, gas tank, nose cone, makes access to engine relatively simple. Centre Stand and side leg = two thumbs up! Small glove/document compartment in RH fairing cover Balanced stance on the road allows driver to almost drive hands free. Standard equipment; two colour matched Pannier bags, and mounting brackets. Centre mounted (under seat) muffler give the bike a clean look. The fairing provides good protection to rider in wet weather The required improvements: Thin heat shield foam on R/H & L/H fairing as well as fuel tank can make warm weather riding very uncomfortable. Short windscreen works well for low speed urban rides. At continuous Highway driving speed, sitting position (for taller riders) and head wind creates higher resistance and worsen fuel consumption. Under seat muffler doesn't have enough insulation to protect underside of seat and passenger's bottom. Provide 2nd storage compartment in LH fairing cover (like RH side). Rear wheel Hugger will reduce water and road grime splash on engine and electrical components. Gas tank holds 20L (5.2 US Gal) means having to plan refuelling stops more often. Another gallon would be great! Gear Indicator Digital speedometer instead of the analog (mechanical) unit Dimmer switch for gauges White face for mechanical gauges (speedometer & tachometer) In general: The '06 Sprint ST 1050 is great riding bike that can be ridden across town, or across the country. Comes with basic touring hard bags (2) and can be easily fitted with a third. This is a great crossover bike, for riders who wish to upgrade from a single purpose motorcycle.

I have a 2001 Honda Valkyrie and wanted something lighter and quicker to compliment the Valk. The big Honda is fast and nimble for a 700 pound cruiser, but you never forget you're on a 700 pound cruiser. I'd been looking at the S3 for a while and waited until I could justify adding a second bike's expenses to my budget. This one was a used model that I bought during the offseason (limited riding season in northern Michigan). Wish I had bought this thing earlier. Torque all over the place, great sounding engine, badass looks. I haven't rode it too fast as it gets pretty windy at 80+ mph--typical naked bike drawback. The seat gets uncomfortable after a while, though that's not too big a deal for me because the Valk is my preferred bike for 100+ mile rides; the S3 usually goes no more than 70 miles. Lots and lots of fun to ride.

Airbox eliminator, K&Ns & re-jet gets me 70+ r/w hp. It handles great, has just the right amount of power, and as is mentioned in most reviews, the bike gets so much attention whenever I stop, no matter what bikes I'm riding with. Mostly I do day rides up through the mountains, but did a 1000 mi. three day trip last Fall OK. I am thinking about bar risers as my 64 y/o neck feels some strain after a few hours.

I have no need to make room in the garage for anything else... this bike is everything you want in a bike. The only reason I'd tell you to buy something else is if you just don't have the strength to hang on for this ride. It is INCREDIBLE.

After riding heavy cruisers for 17 years, I craved the ability to sweep a corner without scraping hard parts. Enter the Triumph Tiger. The riding stance is very comfortable and the view on-high is awesome for city streets. The soft front end was expected, but still caught me off guard initially. Within no time, I have grown accustomed to a bit more front end drive. For my riding style, it hasn't affected my fun meter while riding. Very predictable handling and great motor/transmission. Definitely would make the same choice again. I love this Tiger!

I've only had my 06 sprint 3 weeks and already clocked 2700 km. My previous bike was a Suzuki V Strom 1000 which I quickly fell out of love with due to unbearable wind buffeting and excessive engine vibration. I have ridden the Sprint over 300ks two-up in a howling side wind and couldn't fault it for aerodynamics and comfort. Yes there is some heat from the engine but I haven't found it too uncomfortable on hot days and am grateful for any extra warmth on a cold day. Handling is superb to the extent that this bike makes an average rider look very good. Whilst the Sprint thrives on spirited riding or long distance hauls it will just as happily weave and putter around town. The bike's outstanding styling always draws appreciative looks. This is just the start of a long love affair.
