My only complaint is the seat; it's lousy, OK for an MX bike but way to hard for dual sport. I rode the bike at 75 MPH across the famous Card Sound Bridge in the beautiful Florida Keys with a 25 MPH cross wind and it was a bit of a handful but you would expect that from a bike this tall and light. I'm going to set mine up for serious dual sport (New GPS panel and hard bags) and go wild in Alaska and suchI can't wait.

My Dad got me riding when I was 7 years old. For 16 years I rode Yamaha. I loved them. This year how ever we got a great deal on a 2004 KTM 125SX. I bought it after a two laps around the track. It does handle a lot different from my YZ but what a rocket. I love the bike. It is the absolute fastest production 125 I have ever ridden. The hydraulic clutch is super smooth and the bike has much more room that my YZ did for my 5'10 body. I do however have two complaints. The hydraulic slave cylinder leaks at the case. I have talk to other 2004 125sx owners and they are having the same problem. At least you can buy 100% mineral oil from Walgreen's for $3.00 a bottle. My other complaint is that the suspension isn't quite up to bar with the Jap bikes in stock condition. I did have it re valved and am happy to say I love it. Overall I love the KTM its faster than the 250F's, much roomier, and I stands out a little. I give it 6 Stars

It comes "outta the box" ready to race. Put some Akropovics on it and a little tweakin' here and there, and even an unplugged XR doesn't have a chance. Gotta keep an eye on the oil and adjust the valves frequently though. Other than that, I love this bike much better than my XR650R... in fact, don't bother riding this bike until you're ready to buy it... because it will suck to go back to your old bike after tasting what the KTM has to offer. Trust me.

It's great on twisty rodes, especially if they are bumpy, and it excels on dirt rodes and is even OK on not too technical trails. It is outstanding in the the city, tall, narrow with quick steering. The v-twin sounds great and pulls nicely. The only issues are a slight carb flat spot around 3K and a seat that is tall & a bit hard. Overall a terrific package.

I have put on ~2000 miles so far. It is very stable on the road, very good two up. Put ~1400 miles on it in the Copper Canyon in Mexico. While a little heavy for a true off road bike, it was WAY better than a BMW GS, much more nimble. I love... read more
