2004 big dog motorcycles reviews

I got the bike with 3,000 miles. I have been riding now for six months and it is a great bike. Nothing really added to it - just stock. Everyone looks at it and loves the styling and it has plenty of HP to spare. The only drawback now is parts availability. But for the S&S Engine 107, it's a brute but the seat needs more cushion for the longer ride. I had Gitz Chopper make my sissy bar for my T Bags. But I love the bike and the women love the ridged mount engine.- enough said. Show less

I have a 2004 pit myself and put a huge rake on it more than the k-9 and ridgebacks come with and what a difference. It rides much more stable and not nearly as bumpy. The looks I get are nuts! Everybody goes nuts when they see it. Also if your battery terminal is melting then your connections are not tightened down enough. It causes an arch and gets hot. I went through three batteries until I figured it out. Show less

I have put over 20,000 miles on this bike and have not had any major problems. The small ones I did have were taken care of by Big Dog in a professional and timely manner. The bike still runs great and I would ride it anywhere. I only gave it a three star rating for comfort due to the fact, I'm comparing it to the last bike I had which was a H-D dresser. This bike is a lot more fun though! Show less

I've put a total of 7000 miles on my 2004 Big Dog Mastiff (as of 11-26-06). I have had several mechanical and electrical issues but, thank God, all were covered under the original 2 year factory warranty with no questions asked. Because they have honored their warranty program and have worked hard to make this bike right, I have purchased another Big Dog. I recently purchased the 2007 Mastiff and hope to have it by January 2007. Show less

Bought used and ride it everyday. More power than you can use and engine just gives and gives. Handling is perfect and balance exceeds my expectations. Quality is very good and BDM has been excellent with customer service. Would like a more comfortable seat for rides over 400 miles, but day-to-day is just fine. Show less

I rode a Harley Fatboy for 10 years and added about $10,000 in chrome and engine modifications to it and it paled in comparison to my 2004 Bulldog. The engine runs strong, it is comfortable and I have not had one mechanical problem. This bike is worth every penny when compared to a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Show less

I purchased a new 04 leftover three months ago and have put 1200 miles this bike. I have enjoyed this bike so much that I have ordered an 06 chopper. The style, the looks, the custom paint, the perforamce is all there. Is really nice when someone is drooling over it, but it's really cool when people in there 60's and 70's compliament you on the bike. The tampa big dog dealer is second to none. Service is fast and detailed. Everyone there tries to help you in every way they can. They would much rather see you on the road than in their shop. Show less

What makes Big Dog stand alone from all the others is that they put out quality bikes with clean flowing lines that men have always associated with the natural beauty of women. I gave up on my Big Dog dealer and took my bike to the local Swift dealer. Well all the little proablems that the Big Dog dealer couldn't fix are now done and the bike is working great. The problem is that I spent about 500.00 fixing Big Dogs proablems. They said I had to go to a Big Dog dealer. But after two hours of drive time in each direction and tree trips with no results the 500.00 seems like a bargin. Show less
