2000 Honda reviews

I can't say enough about what a great bike this is. It is comfortable, economical, extremely reliable, and everything is in the right place. In 46,000 miles in about three years the bike has been in the shop for a repair ONCE. Sure, I've done all the usual maintenance: brakes, tires, fluids, plugs and all that; but it has broken down exactly once in 46,000 miles, for an oil leak. It can't get much better than that. Put Kuryakyn grips on and the V-twin vibes don't bother your hands. Put a driver backrest on and windshield and watch fatigue on long rides go away. I'll keep this one until I wear it out. Show less

This bike beats anything I have ever owned in my life. I have been driving since I was 17 years old & I'm now 53 & I have owned many bikes in my days from rice burning dirt bikes to this ultimate machine. Wife has spine problems & loves the comfort of the ride better than the Blazer. Show less

I bought this 2000 Ace with 4200 km on it and have owned it for coming on two years. I ride from April - October and enjoy every minute of it. In two seasons of riding, I added 28,000 km, with no problems on long and short trips. All decked out and I get a lot of comments. I cruise with a buddy who rides a Goldwing and everyone walking by comments on my Ace, not his Goldwing. Great bike just waiting for winter to end. Show less

I was looking for a bike last year, and went into a Harley dealership. Nice bikes, but the 1200 was over $14K out the door. Insane!! A friend of mine recommended that I look at used bikes since I hadn't ridden before. Great advise. After taking the MSF class I started looking and found a used 2000 Spirit VT1100C in beautiful shape, and got it for $3,200. This is my first bike, and it's been great. Very forgiving, and an excellent bike to learn on. Not so big that it can't be handled, and not so small that it would be easy to outgrow. Since buying the bike I've replaced the tires with Metzlers, put on a Mustang seat and a National Cycle street shield. It's a confidence-building bike, and with every mile I ride it I get happier and happier. It's so much fun!! I'd do it all over again Show less

I bought this bike from a fellow that only added 1600 miles to it since new in 96. Thats not many miles in 8 years. I now have over 12000 miles on it and it continues to run strong and dependable. It has lots of power to out run most Harleys and sports around the corners to leave em in the dust. I recommend a Magna as an all around fun bike that won't dissappoint you or your wallet. Show less

I recently traded in my 1999 Honda 750cc ACE. I shopped around, read many reviews both professional and average Joe rider and decided to get a 2000 Honda Shadow Sabre. So far, I've owned it about 10 days and have logged about a thousand miles riding around mostly in the twisty mountain roads with buddies. I love the way it handles on the curves and the acceleration is very smooth on the take off. On the highways, it's really nice to be able to keep up with traffic and be able to pass cars when necessary. So far, the ride has been AWESOME. Show less

That is a very nice bike - it oozes presence. If you like attention, this bike will attract it. Those Harley riders stop and check out this bike and they give it respect. Show less

I got one of these bikes a few years ago and it still runs like a charm. It could have better shocks but it's a trail bike and it's not going to have good shocks. Overall great bike. Show less

The best bike I've ridden in my entire life. Honda is a quality bike and almost always comes out on top.... but in my mind they always do. so go and ride a Honda XR100. Show less

This is deffinately the best bike in its class. It is extremely reliable and a great bike for starters. This is my second bike and I have had it for 3 years. I beat the crap out of it and never have a problem. The only broken parts I have ever had were spokes and that is because I didn't ever tighten them and a ride very very hard. Show less
