I bought the bike in October 2012 with 13000 miles on it only put about 150 miles on it. Then in spring of 2013 until 2020 I put 17000 miles on it. I have joyed all the miles I put on the bike. But this past year I learned that the V Star 1100 as a starter clutch issues with it. My bike was starting up hard and when I did some investigating I found out this was a issue with the V star 1100. I need to replace it this spring it will cost me about 450$ just for the parts and 3 hours of labor at 78 dollars an hour. That's the only issue I have Yamaha should have done a recall on them. The bike is extremely comfortable for me I'm 5 8 weigh 160 lb I'm 62 years old I will keep the bike until I can't physically ride it anymore. Then buy a Cam Am Spider.
