I bought this bike in 2005. It hadn't been ridden much and hadn't been rebuilt. I've put about 120+ hours on this bike and it STILL hasn't had a rebuild. It is getting a little weak but other than that I have had no problems. This is a great bike for kids, or for just having fun on. This bike... read more

I just got off a TTR 230 when I bought this bike today and all I can say is, it's awesome. It puts a big smile on my face to know that I can whoop any of my friends on the track or just riding around in the field. It is a little hard to start but once it's running, you have a beast! It puts a big smile on my face to know that I can whoop any of my friends on the track or just riding around in the field. It is a little hard to start but once it's running, you have a beast! It's a little loud when you're getting on it but that's cause I got strict neighbors. I pulled a wheelie so far through 4 gears. It's scary fast; just blip the throttle in first gear on the street and you're up in the air. I love this bike and plan on keeping it for a long time.

Well it was at the time (new) the mostess.I traded a clean 1994 VFR 750 Honda. As for this motorcycle,I have never been anything but "awestruck" by this piece. Think it and it does it! It will teach you technique!,by commanding respect. I have owned both 4 cyl. GP replicas(RG&RD 500's).This is everything and more than those ever hoped to be,--sorry Lance.Beside its astounding performance--it has to be the most uncomfortable SOB ever invented. But that is design by function which it does in spades! Heli bars made it merely uncomfortable but better than stock. Factory mirrors are a joke. I made a barend mirror out of a bicycle unit, and it is 100% better in functon and looks. A machinist friend made "block offs" for my mirror mounting points. So mine really looks "racer".I also changed to a 180 section rear tire(190 is standard I think) and that truly makes this beast feel like a 600! I highly recomend this change for "sport" riders.I really liked it much better after that change. Only true complaint I can think of is,it sure seems as though the headbearing constantly requires attention. The lack of cruising comfort was fully anticipated, so I don't deduct for that. Just merely stateing(over-stateing?) the obvious.
