I owned some cruisers; Yamaha Dragstar 650, Virago 1100, HD FXDWG and Intruder 1400. I still have my 99 Intruder 1400. Best bike I ever had. Fast, fun, reliable and best looking bike I ever seen. Good bottom (I rejetted for the mid sputter it was having) and a good top end. Overall I like this bike as it has a nice hit but not too powerful to wear you out too quickly. Suspension is good on it as my heavier weight has yet to bottom it out. I'd recommend it to anyone...

Plenty of power. Very smooth. I have put a back rest on the bike as I have problems with back and neck pain. Bike came with the big Suzuki windshield that really does the job well for blocking the wind. Put an inexpensive cruise control/throttle lock on it to give my hand a rest on long rides. These are just things I did for comfort that I needed to make the bike more comfy for myself. All in all, a vey good bike for the money and great value. No real problems to speak of of, I do have problems once in awhile with the bike not wanting to start. Just hesitates some. Has always started though. I have heard of the this problem before, if you want to call it a problem as the bike always starts.

It can be ridden in a straight line and taken hard into any corner, and with the 190 rear tire, it's easy to hold on a long one. Frames are strong unlike the new models which will crack with excesive wheelies. The 98 was said to have had injection faults but I have personally never heard of one. Easy enough to service.

I just bought the bike and man am I impressed!! I was told before I bought it that it was very light and fast but I had no idea of the speed. When I got it out on to some back roads that's when the beast hidden inside came out! The bike rides like a dream and the handling is awesome. The bike rockets off in all the gears as if to ask for more throttle. I love it and a first time rider (After attending a ride and safety course) can handle the bike with no problems. Just remember the key is throttle control. I haven't done any mods as of yet but looking to put on a power commander in the winter months. Ride safe and ride hard everybody. Peace

I went from a Honda CT110 to this beast and I'll never go back. This bike is so fast. It has beaten all the competition I went up against. I even raced a 2006 RMZ-450 which had a head start, caught up to it fast but it slowly pulled away when we both were tapped out. I couldn't ask for a better bike. It pulls wheelies easily in the first 4 gears. All my friends are amazed at how much power it has. I mostly trail ride it and it can do that to with ease. I highly recommend this bike to some one that has an experience on a 250.
