This bike handles great, looks great, and is great. With the screaming eagle breather kit and some pipes this bike performs very well. don't forget to do the jetting. It's endless possibilities as far as customizing to make a great looking bike even better. Long rides a pleasure with the ergo's of this bike. Show less

I bought this bike and was real impressed with its power. I added lots of chrome, forward controls, cam, drag pipes "loud" 6800-rpm ignition by screaming eagle, bored carb, and added hyper-charger. Now the bike looks nicer, goes faster "too fast". Must say I love riding this bike, around town. And on long trips just use throw over saddlebags and detachable windshield. Show less

The bike makes good torque throughout the RPM range and the five speed transmission is a plus on the highway. The dependable evo motor starts easily and runs strong every time. Curvy roads are no problem as the bike has ample road clearance. I have owned several Harleys, I like this one the best. Show less

This may be the best looking bike I've owned since 1964. But once you get past the appearance, it begins to fall short. The motor needs more, the suspension is awful, and the brakes are inadequate. At least HD up-graded the suspension and brakes for 2000. Can the bike be fixed? Sure, for a price. Everyone knows there are probably more add-on parts in existence for HD than any other, whether it's chrome, leather, or functional. All it takes is money. And that's the rub. You pay a premium for the bike and than pay more to make it perform. I wanted a HD for many years. Now I want to get a bike that performs as well as it looks. Show less

It had been fifteen-years before I had the opprotunity to throw my leg around a motorcycle. And as I walked into my local dealership it was love at first sight. Great classics looks, great responsiveness. Fires up every time you thumb the starter. And by the way, XL is Harley's smallest size. Great bike, no need to change it a bit. Show less

I have a 1999 road king and I love it but it makes a sound like a cow bell every now and then. I've taken back to the dealer but they could not get it to make the noise. Has anyone else had this problem. JC. Show less
